Love it!
This item disappeared from my local grocery stores shelves (and believe me, I have looked at multiple chain stores in different cities). I took to Amazon and as usual, it did not disappoint. The price is great (you are getting a pack of 12 mixes), probably even less than I used to pay at the grocery store. I make beef stew with this mix, even though it is called goulash. I plan to purchase another pack just to keep on hand in case next winter I cannot find these anymore. Any other beef stew mix (McCormicks, etc) just does not have this specific taste which I am used to. In a pinch I have tried to make a McCormicks taste like this by adding a lot more paprika, it was better than normal, but still nothing like Knorr! Buy this and you won't be disappointed!

Makes a great Goulash
My mother used this product and I have continued to use it. We put it over noodles or baked potatoes. A simple, quick meal to make. Prompt delivery.

Just like Oma's Goulash...
Just like my grandma used to make. The know goulash is hard to find at local stores, now I order a case at a time and share with family. The flavor can't be beat and it makes a great family meal for a cool night. I also use make it in the crockpot and just add a little cornflour mixed with water right before it's done to thicken up the sauce.

German Gulash Soup
We have used this product for over 20 years to rave reviews from all our friends. We use this as a late night snack served with light German rye bread before sending our guests out into the night. We modify the package recipe using beef stock instead of water. Gives it a much richer taste. If you run low, you can always stretch it by adding more beef broth. We also add a bit of sweet Hungarian paprika.

Love it
I fell in love with this product many years ago, but for some reason, the stores around here stopped carrying it. It was a huge relief to find it here. With a pressure cooker, a pound of beef tips and some cans of veggies, you can have a great stew in 30 minutes. Works without the pressure cooker also, but what's the point? Almost makes me look like I know what I'm doing.

It's okay
I was a bit disappointed that it was not the German formula that I brought back from Germany. So....I added a packet of McCromick's chili seasoning to a big pot of stew beef and VOILA! Much better! Will I buy again? No. Not this one. I have ordered and am waiting for the Knorr Gulasch "Fix." The "Fix" is the German version of this spice mix and hopefully exactly what I brought home -- and delicious! :)

I used it and it's horrible
Why put chemicals in your food? I can understand if you can't cook real goulash, but honestly, what is so difficult about onions, salt, and paprika? By the way, this product contains NO paprika. I tried it once when I was in a hurry and was extremely disappointed. The above reviewer who uses it for her goulash and paprikas... shudder.

It's a handy "quick" and pretty good way to make Goulash
It's a handy "quick" and pretty good way to make Goulash, but unfortunately it does have MSG in it.
