This plug has a small blue light showing that it is live, when the wall socket is turned on. I charge my phone using the USB socket at night and the plug never overheats as my smaller one used to do. I also plug a side lamp into the 3 pin socket and a hairdryer from time to time. It is versatile and well made., whilst not 'costing the earth'!

This does exactly what it says on the box. You get two USB outputs and a mains socket so it's a quick and simple way of adding USB sockets around the house. It has an internal blue LED that lights showing it's plugged in and working which is ok I suppose (at least it's not so bright it lights up the room). I've not tested it's maximum output capability but one port is used to keep my iPad on charge and the other often gets to charge my iPhone and neither device has complained even when charging both at the same time. If it's got one tiny criticism, it's a bit bulky but that said, it runs nice and cool so that's a huge bonus.

This works fine and is generally good value for money. It doesn't look hugely robust but, unless you plan on kicking it around, it should last - barring any hard-to-predict electronic fritzes, that is. I have to knock a star off because of the blue light. It's way too bright if you want to use it in a bedroom at night so I'm going to have to put ugly black tape over it to block it out.

I use this product for my phone charger and to charge my sports watch. Works great for both. Be aware it is quite chunky so make sure you have clearance around the socket you are going o use it in.

it works, but why the blue light? it's unneccessary and really irritating as I use this to charge my phone at night and it creates an intense blue light. I've covered the light with blu-tack but its so bright that it keeps shining through. also, it seems kind of loose in the plug socket, and slips out just enough so my devices don't charge. I have to constantly keep checking to make sure it's fully plugged in. that being said i didn't pay loads for this so as expected for the amount I paid. My main impression is that the light is really annoying and unnecessary.

I bought 2 of these and they are as described. Well made and do the job without losing a plug socket. Can't see a problem with the blue glow when its plugged in as others seem to have. Only gripe I have is that one of the units had a rattle like there was something loose . On taking it apart I found what seemed to be a small blob of solder loose inside which could have been a problem if it had shorted on the electronics.
