Wildlife of the Caribbean (Princeton Pocket Guides) Paperback – Illustrated, May 25, 2014

Great for nature study in the Caribbean. Pictures and drawings make the species easy to identify, even for kids who might not yet read. If anything, I wish it would be more extensive. Thoroughly enjoyable.

The only reason I would not give a 5 is that some of the info was a tad dated and tightly formatted but really helped on my trip to Cuba. Loved being able to have on my Kindle so we could validate/ID (especially on plants) what we had just seen. Great resource and easier than carrying another book (Cuba is very restrictive and expensive on weight overage - they are serious about the 44 lbs. limit).TaT

Wonderful guide to the Caribbean. Some ebooks won't let you enlarge the illustrations unlike this handy guide. I liked this edition because it had a variety of animals from plants to birds and reptiles. The illustrations were well done and beautiful.

This guide was very easy to read and easy to find the animal you’re looking for with the categories in the book. Didn’t have every animal, but you’ll only get that with specific guides. If I had a choice I would probably pick multiple individual guides which would cover all the animals you would see since I studied biology in school and appreciate a good guidebook. However for the average vacationer this guide includes many of the species you will see on your trip and will give you a start if you see an animal not included in the book.
