This was a $54 paperback book....I'd expect to have received a hardcover for the cost and it was a very thin book. Not worth the money.

Glimpse into another world
A well planned overview of artworks and their creation relating to travellers both on the road and on the canals in the UK's fairly recent history. An excellent range of photographs most of which do not appear in other publications. For a short paperback book it has a interesting basic information. I would recommend it to someone with a "beginner's" interest in history of travelling people in the UK. Inevitably in a book of this length encompassing such a broad subject, the information is not in any great depth but still well researched and interesting. An added section with a breakdown of how the designs were built up would be extremely useful to present day vardo / canal boat painters if the book was to be re-printed at some point in the future. In all, a very useful and informative addition to anyone's collection of books of this genre.
