Great history book!

and a quest for something tath always was so farway from his dreams... in anyway he was an inetrnational freedom fighter...and died trying to pursue tath hope...

An extremely honest and intelligent first hand account of the Congo at its independence, with information not having been available from the mainstream media at that time or later.

Guevara was all too happy to unleash the dogs of war in foreign lands such as Cuba and Congo but refrained from doing so in his native Argentina despite the despotic regimes that existed there. A truly despicable character.

Well told history

I got this book as part of the "Diaries" series.To read it you can see how devoted Guevara was to the cause, only to be let down by tribalism, sadly the main cause of Africa's problems today. To read it was like observing a man bang his head against the wall in frustration.You have to read it as part of the sequence of events in this visionary mans life.

Amazing
