Superior
Sturdy, compact and efficient. Those are just three of the four words I would use to describe this gauge. I think everyone should have one of these. See, you can get one of those pen-shaped ones that will achieve just about the same thing. You can check the pressure, then flip it over and use that little peg on the back to release some air pressure, rinse and repeat. Heck, they even come with a pocket clip so you can carry it around in your shirt pocket like a Tire Pressure Boss. But the key word there is "like". If you want to be a real TPB, you need a JACO Superior Deluxe Tire Pressure Gauge. I'm not sure what makes it Deluxe. Maybe they have a whole line of these, and the model below this doesn't have the PRV on it or something. But I do know what makes it superior. This, friends, is a high quality tire pressure gauge. It has a rubber shock guard on it. It's sturdy and rugged. It looks like it could take quite a beating. It feels good in your hand, and seems to be the exact right size for comfort and utility. But most importantly, it works. And it's accurate. The fourth word I would use to describe it is 'red'. It's red underneath that shock guard. And that's just an added bonus, because it matches my Jeep. I thought the ladies loved me before, when I rode around in my Jeep with the doors off. But now, with this SDTPG peeking out of my shirt pocket like a TPB, the ladies can no longer help themselves.

Good value, works well, loose rubber cover
The price point on the gauge is good. The gauge is accurate and good quality. The only negative is the black rubber cover which is extremely loose and worthless. I did remove it, however, the gauge is a tick small when one removes it. Anyhow, if returned suspect I would get another with the same issue. I will use it as is.

You want an accurate easy to use tire gauge? This is it.
First of all, the customer service from JACO Superior is beyond phenomenal. After I bought the gauge, their co-founder personally contacted me by e-mail to ask what I thought of it. I know it wasn't a robot message because when I responded, he personally wrote back to address my comments. When does that ever happen? As to the gauge, I bought it because I was tired of inaccurate tire pressure gauges. I bought a digital gauge thinking it was high tech, but the thing wouldn't give the same pressure reading twice in a row, so I took it back and decided to stay with the tried-and-true technology of an analog gauge. Of course not all analog gauges are accurate either (e.g. the one I got from Harbor Freight) but I liked the ad copy about the quality and accuracy of the JACO gauge, so I took a chance. When it arrived I had just gotten back from having the tires rotated on my SUV and the tire shop had checked the air pressure on all of the tires and recorded it on the work order. They use Snap-On gauges that cost ten times more than the JACO gauge. I rechecked the tires using the JACO gauge and got an identical reading to the tire shop, dead on. Score! Finally a tire gauge I can trust! Other features I like are the angled swivel head and the bleeder valve. The swivel head allows me to see the face of the gauge no matter where the tire valve happens to be, and the angle design allows the gauge to be used on bike tires where a straight gauge won't work because the spokes are in the way. When pressurizing a tire I like to over pressurize it a bit then bleed down to the desired pressure. That way I only have to connect the air compressor to it once. The JACO gauge is ideal for this. I can remove air from the tire by depressing the bleeder valve without removing the gauge from the tire. When the bleeder button is released, the gauge instantly resumes the air pressure reading (unlike the digital gauge I bought that had to be removed from the tire and reset for each new reading). I may be old school, but I like being able to read an analog gauge. You know where you stand with an analog. The only comment I had in responding to the co-founder's e-mail was that my 65-year-old bifocalled eyes found the gauge dial to be a bit small. It is 1-1/2" diameter. I suggested that a 2" dial would be easier to read ,yet still compact enough for glove box or tool box storage. Guess what? He wrote back to say that they are working on just such a gauge. It will have a maximum scale reading of 60 psi, perfect for car tires (but not for high pressure bike tires). That one will be easy to read, even for me. So I am glad to have the small gauge because I do have a bike to use it on, but I am looking forward to the larger gauge when it comes out. I plan on getting one of those, too. They said it will show up on Amazon when it is ready, so stay tuned!

Not so much for larger tires...
This lasted all of about two times using it. I have a full size pick up and my tires usually run at 65 psi. This gauge after the second round of checking/ filling my tires with air, quit holing pressure. I really like the style and the format of the gauge, it just wasn't up to repeat measurements at 60 - 65 ps. Just disappointed really.

Dead on Arrivial, Replacement GOOD!
I received the replacement today 06/25/2020 and immediately tested it on my truck tires. It worked perfectly!! Thanks JACO for making it right. I definitely recommend this company! I bought this particular pressure gauge for my truck tires which require much higher pressure than the average passenger car tire. It seemed pretty straightforward and I tested it out on several tires with poor outcome. As soon as I removed the tire pressure gauge from the air-stem, the needle would dive to zero and I could hear hissing sound because the air pressure would not hold properly. Rather than giving a poor review I contacted the company. A cordial person explained that if I was willing to try a simple fix explained via a downloadable PDF file, I might have a gauge that would work properly. I agreed and he sent me the PDF. According to instructions, I disassembled the unit. I noticed the threads were corroded. I noticed the O ring was brittle and cracked. So, unfortunately this unit did not work no matter what I did. It still would not hold air pressure. I emailed JACO and they said no worries they will send me a new unit. I was willing to do that. Unfortunately I have not received the new unit and I am still patiently waiting. All this was on June 16/2020. Now almost a week has past. I got no tracking info or support on the status of the replacement. If it arrives and functions properly I will be happy to give them a good rating for making it right but at this point I am just frustrated since I've received nothing.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT

I am very happy with the product very sturdy and accurate I don't give the five stars because it is a little pricey comparatively with other similar products, however highly recommended and life-time guaranteed. I love the fact that it can be used also to deflate until the pressure reaches the desired value and the nice elastic cover that protect it. Cons and I said the price and it is a little bit big for my taste compared with others, but I suppose that being an analog device (which I prefer to measure over digital at least in this case) it requires the space, but it is not as easy to read as the digital counterparts. (may you put a little magnifier glass in the needle to read better?) Highly recommended if you don't mind to give more money.
