Great little juicer!
When I first opened the box, I thought, uh oh, seems rather cheap. But it is great! It just zips through the oranges! I wanted something that would be quick and easy for my family to whip up a fresh glass of juice in the morning, and this is does the job. My 4 yr old granddaughter was thrilled to make her own juice, it is that easy. I like that the juice drips down into a pitcher that pops off the base and can be put on the table for breakfast. It puts a lot of pulp in the juice, but we like pulp. If you don't, it is simple enough to pour it through a strainer or colander before you drink it. This little baby takes those citrus fruits right down to the rind, so you have to watch you don't over-juice and make your juice bitter. Quite powerful!I already have one of the big boys - a Breville juice extractor. Love it! But who wants drag that big heavy thing onto the counter, then peel oranges in the morning just to get a glass of juice? This is quick, easy, and a great bargain as well. You don't need to spend a fortune to get a great product. We have made a full pitcher of juice in a couple of minutes without any slowing down of the motor. There are two sizes of reamers, which is handy. And it fits compactly under my counter.Just a note if you get one - there is a tiny band of cardboard that secures the motor for shipping. It is on the center post under the place where the reamers fit on. If you don't remove it, the motor won't come on when you push down on the reamer to make juice. I thought the machine was broken when I first tried to use it, and there is no mention of this thing on the instructions. As for the shipping, it came in just a couple of days, which I appreciated.

Works fine
I bought this a few months ago to make lemonade and it has worked fine on a daily basis, we now make orange juice with it every morning too and it hasn't failed once.Sometimes we have to tap it a couple times to get it to actually go in the reverse direction but eventually it does and allows us to get more juice from the fruit.I wash it by hand and it cleans up easily. My only complaint about this unit is that it is VERY loud, and that's coming from someone with hearing loss, so I knocked off a star for that because it really is loud, too loud for my mornings. All in all I am glad I bought it and it has worked fine for months.

Save your money!
This juicer was disappointing from the time I opened the box. The first thing I noticed was that the item didn't seem to fit the box correctly ... a sure sign that someone had opened and returned it once already. The chip in the plastic confirmed that suspicion. I thought I would go ahead and set it up anyway and see if it would work for my needs. I noticed in setting it up that there was a severe "wobble" in the center shaft. I am no repair person, but even I know that the center shaft should be straight and secure and not wobble from side to side. I went ahead and tried it because I had a big bowl of oranges ready to be juiced. While the thing did manage to extract the juice from half a dozen oranges, it made quite a loud racket in the process. Additionally, the parts fit together in such a sloppy manner that all of the seeds fell right back into the juice! I purchased this juicer to replace my old Black and Decker that finally died after several years. The Aroma ACJ-181 juicer is on its way back to Amazon as I write this review - and I plan to order another Black and Decker. I gave this product one star because there was no option to give zero.

Decent juicer for the money
For the price, I'm happy with this juicer. I've had a similar one of a different brand in the past (Black & Decker), and after an initial use this Aroma juicer seems comparable. I used it to juice 2" limes for margaritas, and the smaller reaming attachment worked well. The motor is loud, a bit louder than my old juicer, but it gets the job done. Cleaning was easy. The cord keeper feature is nice for tidy storage. If anything goes wrong in the near future, I'll post again, but based on my initial use, I recommend this juicer to anyone who wants an electric option for casual use without breaking the bank.

This is the worst juicer
As another reviewer experienced, it broke on the first use. The gear stripped itself out and wouldn't rotate again. I had to send it back. This is the third "cheapie" handy juicer I have had in the past six months. I wanted a handy juicer for making a quick morning juice and for when I'm cooking. My food processor has a citrus juicer and an extractor on it, so I didn't want to have another big electrical item to pull out for just a simple glass of juice. These smaller juicers are cheap and poorly made. They are a waste of time and money. I ended up getting a non-electrical handy juicer from Oxo. It is GREAT! Not too hard on the hands for pressing down and does exactly what you need it to do.

Great for the money!
I had the model 150 for years, which was a great juicer. The 181 model is designed differently than the 150. It has a wrap around cord in the base, which I like. It still has the push down activation, which is the best feature of the juicer. It comes with 2 reamers, which is a plus. I think it's louder than the 150, but all in all, you can't beat this juicer for the money.

An excellent little machine.
I have very productive grapefruit, orange, and lime trees on my property and this year has been the best ever. This little machine does all it promises to do. I like the pulp so I just removethe few seeds I get in the filter and pour in the leftover pulp, filling half gallon bottles of the orange and grapefruit juices without a wimper from this little $15 baby. Cleaning is a snap under the faucet and air drying before I put the machine away. I just wish I hadn't waited so long. Incidently, I have 2 or 3 appliances from Aroma and have had excellent results.

I got a lemon to ream my lemons.. going back to Amazon for refund.. I do appreciate the no hassle return. Amazon was very nice will be mailing me a return label... Back to simple hand held type for now. This was made in china I will be looking for made in USA hoping quality will be better.

Terrible product!
DO NOT BUY. This was probably the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. Very, very cheap product that did not function even on first use - the motor just made an odd sound, wouldn't turn, and that was it. I did remove the cardboard piece before use as others have mentioned too. While looking for another citrus juicer, I found this same exact model at a grocery chain branded as Life Essentials on sale for $10. I wouldn't even bother buying it at that price.

Piece of junk!
This is a cheap piece of trash. It doesn't work at all. The motor makes a sound and turns the spindle about a millionth of a centimeter at a time. If you push down on the fruit to make it connect with the apparatus, it stops altogether. Trying to return it but I can't get a shipping label to do so!
