Good Quality but requires some skill
Very satisfied with this purchase. I'm new to the French Press so there was a learning curve involved. This unit is all-metal (stainless), is pleasantly heavy and has the feel of quality. Looks and feels substantial. My daughter who works at Starbucks, used this and remarked "ooh this is fancy"...the one they sell is plastic. This works perfectly fine if you're making less than 6 cups at a go. It makes a very hot, smooth cup of coffee. However, every time I've tried making the full 8 cups, I've made a mess as it has overflowed. That may be the case for any press that's filled to full capacity...it may be my own lack of skill. I've used both coarse and regular grind coffee and it works fine with either one. Includes an extra set of screens. Stays hot an unexpectedly long time thanks to the double-wall design. All parts dishwasher safe.

Really love it!
I went to visit family for Christmas and they had one of these. I fell in love with the French press coffee. This by far is the best way to do it, a stainless steel container, a lid that's twists around so that you pour it with the arrow toward the spout, turn the arrow around and it keeps the coffee hot for a long time. It's easy to use to make the coffee. Not quite so easy to clean it. I finally dug out a long handle scraper out of my kitchen drawer which helps get the coffee grounds into the trash. A small price to pay for really good coffee! I guess I didn't know that the filter screening comes apart so I'm going to have to check that out but it appears that people who do take it apart may have problems with it later on. So I don't know what the answer to that is. I like that the coffee grounds are all at the bottom of the container. I like the fact that it doesn't take long to get the hot water in the coffee together, and the only wait is for the coffee to brew. I haven't found any problem with leakage and because it's not made with glass there's no glass thickness issue. I like the stainless steel container and parts. A lot more hygienic to me than plastic. It cleans up easily and well after you get rid of the grounds into the trash. The grounds are now being recycled into my trash company's composting project. And according to the plumber who installed my latest garbage disposer, don't put the grounds down into the sink and disposer. I think a few after you've cleaned it all out into the trash is probably okay. But not all of them into the sink. Put as much into the trash as you can. I'm actually considering getting a second one of these which will allow them to dry out a little bit in between washings to get the grounds dryer before I put them into the trash. Additionally if I have company I can make two pots pretty quickly for extra mugs of coffee.

Keeps coffee hot longer & dishwasher friendly
This stainless steel French press has been a total upgrade from my old plastic one. The size is perfect for multiple cups of coffee. I love that my second and third cup stays hot without needing a reheat, which used to drive me nuts. The double-wall insulation really works—but here’s a tip you should definitely follow: pour some hot water in first to preheat the carafe before brewing. It makes a noticeable difference in how long your coffee stays warm. It’s also dishwasher friendly, which is a big win for me when it comes to easy cleanup. The only con? When you press the plunger down, you can hear and feel the metal-on-metal scraping. It doesn’t bother me too much, but if you’re sensitive to sounds or textures like that, maybe turn on some music while you brew.Overall, I’m really happy with this press—it looks sleek, performs well, and makes a much better-tasting cup of coffee.

Good price, well made stainless steel. Delicious coffee!
Well made stainless steel and easy to use. Cleanup is a breeze. I love that there are two layers of screen and there is never a lot of grounds in my coffee cup. There are some great videos on You-tube that make using the French press very simple. The coffee is delicious too! I will never go back to the K-cups!

Good french press, replacement part availability would be nice
I've had this model for about four years and am now buying a replacement of the same model. My biggest complaints, if any, would be intrinsic to any French press. So to clean it you have to unscrew the pieces. Also, the size is what it is, so if you want a larger pot this can't be that. The reason why I'm replacing this is that, after four years, the threading on the top screw (the one on the filter side that touches the coffee, not the handle side) has worn away to the point that it almost can't screw on. After four years of use, I think this is acceptable, although I do feel bad that I have to order an entirely new French press. If I could just order the pieces I need (a new rod and the piece that the rod attaches to and holds the filters on) I'd much rather do that. It would be less wasteful and probably cost less. Instead I have to order a brand new entire French press.I'm getting the same model because I was happy enough with my experience.

Great quality & easy cleanup
My first French press and took a few minutes to learn the correct formula based on the desired strength. Now I can add my amount of coffee grinds into a measuring cup without counting the # of tsp scoops. Works great and easy clean up. Love the all stainless steel components. Instructions are clear and great quality.
