Sweet Stamp by AmyCakes Tacky Pad for Applying Sweet Stamp Plastic Letters to Cakes for EmbossingDimensions of pad 3-13/16 inch x 8-3/16 inch; main part of pad is foam, the opposite side hard plastic. The easiest way to apply your Sweet Stamp letters, the Tacky Pad is a chemical-free suction device that holds onto your letters with suction only: spell out your word, press the spongy part of the pad onto the letters firmly, and your letters will be held in place and ready to emboss. When applying to the side of your cake, make sure your fondant is still soft; using the counter to balance the pad, pivot the pad around the cake; apply an even pressure while moving pad. When storing your pad, use the protective film. if you get oil, dust or fingerprints on your pad you can wash it gently with warm soapy water; for a stronger grip just dab a wet cloth on your pad, let dry briefly and continue to use, similar to adding moisture to a window suction cup; the Tacky Pad can last a long time when taken care of but eventually will need to be replaced. It's never been easier and prettier to apply personalized messages to your cakes: With Sweet Stamp by AmyCakes you can easily emboss your message or name then paint — no more messing around with frustrating and time-consuming cutters or struggling to find modern and elegant lettering. Use with ganache, regular buttercream and fondant (sugarpaste). Each color-coded set comes in a handy storage tray so you can keep track of your letters easily; using a blade or sticky tape, you can release the letters from the tray. If you need to use the same letter twice, simply measure the gap and apply it individually by hand afterward, or purchase an add-on pack of letters. Recommended for use are edible art paints or a mix of dust and dipping solution to paint. If you have the elegant or curly set, using a 00 brush is recommended.

You can't see where you are putting the letters!
Once you line up your letters and attach them to this tacky pad you can't see where they are lining up on the cake. Whoever designed an opaque tacky pad for this purpose was dumb. They should be clear so you can see where you are pressing your stamp in!
