Binary, Subnetting, and Summarization Mastery Paperback – January 24, 2019

I'm taking his class on Udemy in hopes of getting my CCNA/Security and this makes the training so much easier.

I do not usually leave Amazon reviews. But after using Chris Bryant's Udemy videos for CCNA I had to give this a shot to finally gully understand subnetting. What I picked up was incredibly fast and great! I actually understand it now and can do the problems myself. Its filled with plenty of exercises to prcatice and its the best way I have found after hours of searching to learn!!! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to lrarn subnetting

First, the 3-star comment about the layout of the practice exercises doesn't even warrant discussion. A sheet of paper covering the exercise answers fixes that so-called problem. Moving on. I took a CCNA course years ago, and like many others I was mystified by subnetting. I came upon Chris Bryant doing web searches. I obtained a manual he had created long before this book was published. The simple way he teaches subnetting is a relief from all of the idiotic, complicated nonsensical techniques flooding the ethos. I read the book, and was empowered immediately. No BS. The truth is, subnetting is simple; it's just not intuitive. Once you learn the basics, everything else will fall into place. Practicing for 1-2 hours/day for about 2-4 weeks should make you an expert. Yes, an expert. Many problems will be handled with absolute ease, no pen, and paper. The book should be renamed "The Art of Subnetting", or "Subnet As If Your Life Depended On It", or maybe "Subneddin', You Tawkin' Tah Me?" Seriously, buy the book, if you don't like it, yell at Chris, what do I care?Hey Chris, let's get this book updated, and add IPv6. Make it happen! Chop chop!

I don't like to complain but a better system for purchasing this product should have been in place, as the description states it comes with the e-book for free when purchasing the print book.I liked the summarization at the end and it's clear and unambiguous to read and understand.

Great way to gain confidence with subnetting. Leads you from basics to some real world subnet questions that engineers are faced with.

A lot of good information but the layout of the practice exercises could’ve been better. The answers are right under the exercise and there aren’t any blank space to do the subnetting or binary format yourself. Doesn’t really help if the answers are in your face. The exercises were the reason I got the book. Maybe have the answers in the back next time .

Easy reading and extremely helpful.

Wonderful book. Has exercises in each chapter too to test your understanding. I finally “get it”. Keep at it and you will too.
