Received the mount and the push in lever in the back refused to go forward enough to allow mount to go over my std AR upper receiver.Called and left message plus emailed MFG about the issue .. never got a response.Poor service for an expensive mountafter giving up on any help from the MFG I decided to take the mount apart and figure out the issue.Found a large area that had not been machined out that would not allow the pin to go fully forward and widen the lugs enough . dremeled that out and we are good to go.sad part is I like the mount but can't see myself ever purchasing another one if they will not even call or email back

I bought this as I liked the ideal of being able to use a single higher quality scope on a couple different platforms and the ease of removing the scope for firearm storage in my safe. I have had mine for about a year with no issues. I have had the scope on and off a rifle a number of times and never lost zero. Going from one platform to another did require checking zero on the new platform. I did have a Kinetic Development Group, LLC Kinect 3 Slot Rail Fits MLOK that broke and KDG responded quickly paid for return shipping made the repairs and shipped it back at no cost to me.

Okay this thing is kinda cool. Got it for my scar17 and it definitely packed on noticeable ounces. I had rings. There's gotta be a way to shed a few ounces. The on and off switch/lever (whatever) is almost perfect, feels like I need to lube it? Wish there was a way to make the release button tuck in so it was sleek like the other side. If weight and cost aren't an issue go for it!

As an e-commerce seller myself, I should have known better. Because when you only see very good reviews and very bad reviews, nothing in-between, you know theres something wrong. So, why did I purchase it knowing some reviews may be bought and paid for? I had a very specific need. A QD mount that held zero and had atleast 3.5 inches between rings. Unfortunately, there are not alot of options with those parameters, so I figured I would try KDG and see. First, the mount only mounted to certain parts of the same rail. It just wouldn't go on in some places, again, on the same rail. Second, it's very low. If you go with this mount on an AR, be prepared to be leaning low to get a good eye box. Third, one out of every three attempts to detach from the rail (on those occasions I got it on), it took all my strength to depress the "plunger" to remove the mount. In summary, it's alot if moving parts that could potentially break, get dirt in, and you have to clean continuously. Even lubing it up didn't help. It just flat out doesn't do what you buy it for; easy, quick, and repeatable action are not this mounts characteristics. My buddy bought one too. Same problems, different rifle. For this price, stick with Scalarworks or LaRue.

Normally I'd have gone with American Defense quick release but these mounts are solid, rugged, hold up well to movement and best of all don't snag as the locking mechanism is internal. The whole system is modular rings can be changed in size, position can move, and they're serial paired and machined to match!

Product was received with multiple scratches and missing parts. Looks like it was already returned and it was resent like this to me.

I used this for over a year and had not much more than heartache using it. There are 4 screws that mount the bottom plate to the plate that you mount the rings to. Even with ample amounts of blue thread lock the screws kept backing out. Originally used it between .300 Blackout and .30-06 which held for a while, but then I mounted it to a .450 Bushmaster everything got worse. I reached out to Kinetic Development Group and this is what I got as a reply "Very sorry for the issues you are having. The mount is coming loose as it really was not designed to be a QD mount for shooting with rounds as big as .450. Its designed no problem for .308 and other smaller carbine cartridges.". So I gave it 2 stars solely based on its aesthetics and if you were to use it on a smaller caliber I guess it may work, who knows. Kinetic Development Group doesn't have anything listed on their product documentation stating this is for a .308 and under and doesn't appear to stand behind their product other than saying "Very sorry" I couldn't recommend to anyone to invest their money in this product.
