Yes, you get what you pay for when it comes to wire and this was exactly what I was looking for. Soild bright copper strands and real 4ga wire. I am using this on a boat restoration project so anything lower grade simply wouldn't do and would degrade within a year. I would pay more now rather than be standed on a lake and have to repay for more wire.

Red wire shielding is different from the black. it is much softer.

This is a real review, I paid full price for this itemUsed these to make a quality set of jumper cables for the boat, using plain junky car jumper cables doesn't work too well when jump starting a boat. They heat up and can't carry the current. These cables aren't too rigid but aren't flimsy either, very good quality cable

This is very high quality cable. The nylon sheath is very thick and it appears to be 100% copper, not an alloy.

This cable is priced right and very easy to bend and twist to get into proper placement on my vehicle. I will look to this seller for heavier gauge cable for my heavy duty truck
