Mighty little 'dozer
The Bruder CAT 'dozer has proven to be useful on the job. It features a blade up front the can be raised when driving over rough terrain and it also pivots from left to right so you direct your load as needed. There is also a "ripper" in the back, although this usually stays in the most up-right position as we don't have much of a use for it. A great value compared to the other Bruder construction vehicles and the quality and functionality doesn't disappoint. We use this toy strictly indoors on a road made of foam board. As other reviewers have mentioned, the tracks can get clogged with small debris, like the rocks pictured. It does best on rougher surfaces, most likely rugs or carpeting for any potential buyers that want to know. Rubber inserts are included for the tracks for "traction" on slick surfaces. I have not tried to use these. My son is 3 years old and loves all the Bruder toys we've accumulated, although he only plays with them under my supervision. If you have younger children, as I do, these are not "playroom" toys. They have small parts and should be handled with care, however they are not cheaply made. If you like spending time with you kids and showing them how to both enjoy and learn from using the fine toys Bruder makes, these are for you. See pics for the 'dozer in action.

Realistic Tracks and Lots of Fun
My son loves this realistic bulldozer! The Bruder Caterpillar Track-Type Tractor is well-made and realistic. Individually-linked plastic tracks roll smoothly over carpet and tile and Bruder even includes some rubber inserts (for better grip) if your child will play with this on a smoother surface like linoleum. The hydraulic cylinders are nicely articulated to move with the blade as it is raised, lowered, or angled, providing a realistic-looking operation as if the cylinders are really making the blade move. At about a foot long, the bulldozer is large enough to push some of my son's other toys (like legos or small cars) out of the way and it fits perfectly on his MB Actros low loader.Regarding durability, my son is rough on this one- even though we encourage him to not press down so hard on the cab when moving it, he tends to put a lot of his weight down on it. However, after over a month of pretty rough play, this tractor has held up just fine. I'm sure your mileage will vary as some of the other reviewers have noted, but in our experience, this bulldozer has proven to be durable and a lot of fun to play with.

Try Bruder!
If you haven't tried a Bruder product it is time! While they are just plastic toy trucks they are well designed, as durable as you can be for also being as realistic as possible. My now 3 yr old grandson has had this dozer for almost a year now and it still has not broken any major things. The tracks are still very functional with both outside and inside play. A part or two has popped off once in a while but they are easily snapped back in place. Great products for kids!

The tracks are the best part, they are corrugated
The bruder track-type tractor was delivered two days ago for my 2 year old son. However, my 6 year old was thrilled to bits when he saw it. Needless to say, it is he who has been playing with it, while my 2 yr old is back to playing with blocks and lurking around the TV waiting for it to be switched on so that he can watch Curious George, again. The tracks are the best part, they are corrugated, for lack of a better description, and the truck has a rake-sort of thing at the back - one look at it and "SAND PIT/ BEACH" is what jumps to mind. I think it is the perfect little toy to take to any place with sand/ mud because I see my son making tracks in our yard with it. The front plough can push sand, while the rake digs through it and the track make little indentations. In short, the bruder design optimizes a play toy, and grabs attention in terms of looks, feel and utility. The truck itself is well built, though I cant say how long it'll last, especially since I'll have a 6 yr old and (eventually) a 2 yr old playing with it, but I love that it's not plastic!

Awesomeness Realized.
Santa delivered this very cool toy to my four year old son last Christmas. My kid is particularly hard on his toys, though. Usually, I just pick up cheap, used trucks and road toys at yard sales, because I know they will undoubtedly be subject to falls, throws, and smashes. But, Santa, in all his wisdom, selected a toy that is not only durable, but looks really cool, too. In fact, it is the realism of the bulldozer that ultimately saved it. My son likes it so much that instead of conducting "crash tests" with it, he plays with it in a way that exemplifies his pride in ownership of the toy. Eight months later and he still proudly tells me how Santa got such a cool bulldozer for him last Christmas. And I am proud to say that nothing has broke, gone missing, or even been colored on!

Bruder Quality!!!!
I cannot say enough great things about Bruder toys they are made in Germany and have such great quality and are very realistic. Our grandson loves all his Bruder trucks and diggers I first encounter the German line when our grandson was only a baby and a local toy store was having a sale, we have three girls so I was not very knowledgeable about what to get the first Grandson!I ask the owner what toys do people repeatedly buy for boys and ask for again and again and she showed me the Bruder line at first I was like ok they look sort of like old hard plastic not really tuff stuff looking, but we purchased the red and green dumb truck and what a purchase it has been. The grandson is four now and has hauled blocks, rocks sand and so on in his dump truck, the Bruder toys still look like new!He loved the caterpillar he got for Christmas he is in the process of building a road in the back yard and is asking for the Bruder Cement truck for his next Birthday.
