If I'd seen them in a store, I might've thought them to be too small. However, based on a website review/recommendation, I took the chance. They are perfect. Great proportions and good heft. They stack well. Useful for more than pasta. They concentric grooves on the edges even resemble our Fiestaware plates.

The bowls are well made and beautiful. Love the color. I am glad I got it before it was discontinued.

Finally - a dish especially suited to pasta that retains heat from start to finish when dining. (Dish pre-heated in oven at 150-200F is ideal).Visual appearance of dish is excellent, especially when under-plating with a white dish (such as Corian).Price for four dishes is appreciable, but the plates accomplish the underlying intent - retaining heat. No other dish, insulating matt, tile piece, or combination of, tried previously could accomplish the retain-heat objective without becoming far too complicated and clumsy.Value, as value always is, it is a two-edge sword. Often, but not always, "you get what you pay for!" These are worth it. They should last forever.Physical weight might be considered a negative aspect. Stacked in a kitchen cabinet the weight is substantial and requires a firm grip to remove one plate at a time... ill-advised for someone with weak hands or arthritic fingers. Cerise color as ordered elegantly presents the pasta within.

Beautiful bowls, great size. They’re not too big, a lot of pasta bowls are more like serving bowls. I would buy again.

Beautiful bowls. A good weight to them. They can function as a plate or a shallow dish. The size is good especially if you are trying portion control. The color is also beautiful deep dark red with a hit of ombré.Worth the money.

I love these bowls in one of my favorite colors.
