Fantastic as long s you manage your expectations :)
Some people would consider this system "over-priced" but in reality there are not many decent Hi-Fi mini systems on market. Most of items are simply add-ons for iPhone. I do not own one. So, I was in quest to find a mini system for our bedroom which would satisfy 3 main criteria:1. Play MP3 from USB mass storage device (again, I do not care about iPhone/iPods)2. Play Audio with Bluetooth3. Look niceJust these 3 criteria would really narrow choices only to few system. So, I did choose Onkyo.* First impression - solidly made product. Nice packaging. Stylish. Looking superb in our bedroom. Wife was excited because red matched our decor. Yes, speakers are plastic but not terrible (just do not forget to attach rubber feet supplied in box). #3 - check!* Bluetooth, I have no problem with reception or connectivity, may be because I do not run with my phone across a house expecting magic. I put phone near by system, turn on Nokia Music and enjoy. Lumia 920 had no problem with pairing. Also bluetooth supports apt-x codec, big plus. #2 - check!* MP3 after reading manual, easy to enable USB in mass storage device, $10 USB drive full of music and you got a happy listener. #1 - check!Sound quality? Common, you can not have much of expectations from tiny speakers but they do excellent job. In order to significantly improve sound - you need a subwoofer. Just buy 80-100W subwoofer, plug it in and this baby will sing!Of course, nobody perfect, here some tweaks -1. Bluetooth - even when you powered system off (using remote) it still stays active and your phone will think - "I am connected". Onkyo - small fix in firmware would help :)2. When alarm set to playing MP3 from USB, it will always play very first song! Not last one, not random - but first. So choose your first song wisely3. Remote - is not so logical and cheap as remote for in-car stereo :) But it works fineSo, if you are looking for great sounding system and not minding to add subwoofer, please consider it and you will not be disappointed.

Clean, crisp executive power
Watt or Bass junkies, stop here and look else where. Those of you looking for a well-designed, highly-versatile sound system for peronal listening in an office or small bedroom; you've come to the right place. If it sounded bigger than it looks, then I would give it another star. If there weren't so many all-in-one speaker systems available, then I would give it another star. If you still listen to local radio, then it automatically gets another star. If you will be close enough to use truly audiophile grade headphones, then it deserves another star.Let's face it, the audio market is changing with each new iteration of smartphone from Apple and Android. I believe nothing beats a simple audio cable for connectivity and future-proofing an investment, but the bluetooth on this sounds great with both most devices. When thinking of purchasing this product, ignore the speaker specs. Focus on the receiver and it's feature set. If the list looks right for you, then most likely you will give it five stars. Unfortunately, though the list looked right for me, my wife disagreed.

Good sounding, easy to set up and use
This version was bought in late 2013. Although it isn't listed as such, I found that it is compatible with the iPhone 5 (at least running iOS6, I didn't upgrade to iOS7), and behaves the same as older iPod and iPhone control. The unit has a nice, clean look, with the USB port on the front for iDevice connection rather than a specific dock (which is a good thing I think). Set-up was a piece of cake for radio stations, time etc. The sound quality is quite good from CD and higher quality digital media (i.e. using the best settings for MP3 etc when making digital files). It provides a clean, clear sound with little compression/distortion, much better than many mini hi-fi units. It comes with spring-clips for the speaker wires, which feels a tad cheap, so you can't really do anything other than use the supplied speaker wire, and the speakers are a slightly different shade of red.

Great little room stereo.
I am no techno-geek, that is my husband's department. He says the stereo has "excellent sound reproduction" from a CD. Since that is pretty much all I care about, I'm happy. Seriously, the speakers are terrific for being so small, demonstrate full range without distortion and are amazingly crisp and clear. Since I do not have any "I" pod or "M" thingies, I have not tried those media. Besides, from what I understand, depending on the bit rate, mp3's can destroy the sound of a good "tune" by compressing the song - taking out frequencies and harmonics to minimize the size of the file. Using those to assess the quality of a stereo system is less than optimal. My resident expert suggests "flac" files (lossless audio) if one must destroy good music. Oh, and the remote control works well. That is all.

Bad
Very expensive! I had to return it because the remote control did not work. Unsatisfied! Did not meet my expectations. I thought it was the best, I'm wrong.
