2/5 because of decent price value. But, ink does not last anywhere near as long as they state. Good value compared to buying OEM ink from Brother. I have a Brother J497DW, and ink works fine. However, the product is listed as getting ~400+ pages for the black ink (400 pages per LC3013). However, it does not get anywhere NEAR that. Mine lasted around 250 pages or so for normal printing use (not printing out B&W pictures or anything crazy). So, the black ink is not "high capacity" and you can expect to get a couple hundred pages out of it. Still cheaper than Brother OEM ink at the store, but not really the value they claim it to be. Going to look at other off-brands. Misleading.

You have to push quit hard to get these cartridges in. I was worried about damaging the printer at first. After installing them I printed a test page that came out great.So far excellent value for the money.MFC-j497dw

As title says, site claims it works for my printer, but they don't work. Yellow ran out, so I tried to replace with one of these, didn't work. Tried the other one provided, didn't work. Pretty much just pissed $35 down the drain due to a product that says it should work for this printer. Not cool. I guess this is why you should just pony up and buy authentic replacement ink.

Good for home use. Brother printers are almost bullet proof and these ink items work well.

These compatible ink cartridges work great in my printer. The colors are very good. Like many compatible ink cartridge replacements the low ink warning isn't accurate. It's not a problem tho because the cartridges are clear on one side and you can simply look and see the level of ink. I actually threw out 3 HP Printers (and inks)because the packaged ink cartridges dates were "expired". Actually the chips wouldn't accept the perfectly good unopened cartridges. Goodbye HP. I refuse to be gamed. I am very happy w/ my Brother printer and these inks.

I've been using these cartridges for a few years and yesterday I received a message to use a genuine Brother cartridge. My return date has past. It was apr. 11 to return and today is 4/30. These cartridges are very inexpensive but I'm disappointed that I can't return & get a replacement.

Fairly priced for the budget Brother printed I got at staples for about $45 j497DW. Works great only thing now I'm afraid to update the firmware in case they block aftermarket ink. As long as you don't update the firmware it should work fine!

i had a new printer, and it comes with cartridges.I bought new cartridges from Amazon and this company, because the description says that it fits with MFC-J895DW.Now, i am replacing the cartridges the for the first time, and it doesnt fit.'However, IT CLEARLY DOES NOT; BEWARE !I cannot push it into the slot, because it is the wrong size. Now that I look at it, it does not look the same on the outside.they say it does, but that is not true.now it is too late to return i guess.I feel ripped off.
