New Version Thumbs Up Grip for Fuji X-E1 X-M1 X-A1 X-E2 X-Pro1 (Black)

Very well built and designed, especially for the Fujifilm X-E2 (and the identical X-E1). It slides easily yet securely inside the hot-shoe mount. It is not moving around at all for normal use, yet you can push it out when gripping the camera properly without any worries of it becoming stuck. No need for the silly hex locking screw other their thumb grip designs implement.On the X-E2 it clears all controls perfectly, and pushed all the way in it doesn't touch the upper body plate having what looks like .5mm clearance. It virtually adds zero bulk to the camera, yet the does feel naturally more secure from the first second.Did try it on a EOS M too. It fits fine and agan doesn't obstruct any of the camera's controls, although pushing it all the way in will bring the edge of it in contact with the upper plate. Perhaps a strip of gaffer or electrical tape on the inside of the surface will make sure no metal to metal contact takes place that could eventually scratch the paint or even nick the metal on the camera.Yes, there are more sophisticated designs out there, but for the value of this one you cannot go wrong.Highly recommended.

Having recently purchased a Fuji X-E1, I wanted the thumb rest grip, but did not wish to pay $100.00 plus for the OEM authorized product.This camera is slightly awkward to comfortably shoot without one.I searched for a well rated third party option and purchased this item, I am very pleased.It is robust, smoothly finished, fits perfectly and works like a charm for a very appealing price. I am ordering a spare.

Fits perfectly on my Fuji x20. The cutout of the thumb grip perfectly contours around the mode dial, to make it look as if it was an OEM piece. I love it and it makes handling the camera 100x better, considering that I had lost the OEM rubber thumb rest - it is a common issue with X20s and replacements are impossible to find. This thumb rest not only upgrades the handling and look of the camera, but also hides the eyesore of there the missing OEM rubber thumb rest is.

I have large hands and even with the grip extended my wonderful (little) X-Pro 1 was not the most comfortable to hold for long periods of time.I decided to give this a try just out of curiosity, and I'm so happy with it I bought one for my X-E1.Why? Not only does it help with hand fatigue by allowing my thumb to better support the camera, it also keeps me from accidentally changing the exposure dial! That's a problem I've had with this camera, I would inadvertently turn the exposure dial with the side of my thumb when repositioning the camera.This grip keeps my thumb off of the dial unless I want to adjust it. I wish I'd purchased this the same day I got my camera. It's solidly built and matches the look of the camera.

Nicely made thumb rest. Purchased this as a low cost alternative to the name brand models for use on a Fujifilm X-E2. It fits nicely in the hot shoe without use of a hex/Allen screw. The buttons and dials are all accessible with the exception of the exposure compensation dial, which the thumb rest partially blocks access. You must turn the dial with your thumb placed to the outer right side/rear of the dial rather than the left side/inner part where I was used to placing my thumb prior to getting this accessory (I've owned the X-E2 for over a year now). The thumb rest could actually be a bit shorter to allow a little more access to the exposure comp dial and I think it would still work quite well.Ultimately the X-E2 has a nice built in thumb grip. This thumb rest adds a more of a secure grip for when you'd want it.Great low cost accessory.

Not 100% necessary for my Fujifilm X-E2S, but it does add a bit of ease to the handling of the camera. Fit into the hot shoe mount is tight with no wobble. I would recommend this product.

There is slight play in the thumb grip when it is in the flash mount. Wish it was tighter. Still excellent value and feels great. Highly recommended for looks and comfort while holding the X-E1/E2 camera. Also works well on my Fujifilm X20 as well.

Purchased this as an accessory for my Fuji X10 P&S camera to assist in adding stability when I can only use one hand to steady the camera. It installs into the hotshoe easily and sits in firmly. It does its job in giving me that little extra help sometimes needed for a more secure grip. The thumb rest doesn't interfere or block any of the X10's control buttons or dials. It looks nice and surprisingly, my Fuji X10 can still fit into the knock-off leather case with the thumb rest on. Well worth the money as compared to other much higher priced models.
