Five stars hands down! I bought three different ones, because my son had specifically asked for a 'robot dinosaur' and not knowing what kind of dinosaur, just figured, eh. When he opened these among HIS MANY MANY OTHER GIFTS he couldn't stop playing with these for hours! I am not even kidding! I just sat there with this huge smile on my face, and kept thinking: wow, wish they had things like that when I was younger! [Then again I likely would have been scared of them ha ha]. The only downside would be (like many of the other reviews) the roaring. It's not that it is loud or randomly plays when turned off. (Like really? Parents: if you find yourself annoyed with the noise, pick it up, switch the 'on' switch to 'off,' problem solved...). It's just that your child will love it so much that it will be loud and you likely wont want to stop your child from having so much fun! GREAT TOY!!! I absolutely recommend this!

This little robot was very cute and all movable parts worked perfectly. The only defect was the sound mechanism did not work. This could have been due to anything but I would purchase again. My child loved it and I didn't have to listen to a lot of noise. Win/Win.

I wasn’t sure when I first opened this toy if I should keep it or not since it is made of a hard plastic and seemed a bit cheap. But was I ever wrong! We gave it to our grandson for his 3rd birthday and it was his favorite toy. It kept his interest all day with the laying of the eggs and especially the fire breathing out of the dinosaur’s mouth. He loved filling the little bottle of water and putting in the dinosaur’s head to make the spray of fire. The spray lasts for quite awhile too. The toy seems to hold up better than I thought it would. So if your child loves dinosaurs I would highly recommend this toy. It will keep him or her interested for a long time.

I struggled with how many stars to give. Let me explain. My 3yr old would give it 10stars...it works like it says it does - it walks up right across the floor (which is great - i didn't think it would stay up right as well as it does), eyes and tongue light up - which looks pretty cool, and makes trex noises while he's walking. What you don't realize before you use it is there's no volume switch. One volume. And that one volume is going to literally hurt your ear drums. Now I'm not sensitive to noises - and I'm not a parent who is easily annoyed with noisy toys because they bring my child joy. But this thing needs some serious tweaking - the makers probably laughed their butts off sending these things out. It's LOUD - and you can't make it stop...Bc our personal dinosaur's off switch doesn't work. He's screaming on off or on! So I'm basically having to "break" aka "kill" my son's dinosaur by taking his tail (where the batteries go) off of his body (it detaches). He loves this thing - I however found my first toy I wish I hadn't bought. It works like it says. But I can't turn it off and it HURTS The eardrums.

Grandparents & parents: this is NOT a good gift. If you put the batteries in to make it move, it also makes endlessly repetitive brain piercing screeching and roaring noises that DO NOT STOP. The speakers are loud even after you cover them with layers of electrical tape. Most other well designed toys will make a noise for ten seconds and then stop, or maybe the sound will activate for ten seconds by pressing a button. This toy’s noise just keeps going relentlessly until you turn off the whole toy but that also turns off the movement, and the movement is what the kid wants so the cards are already against you. This toy’s annoying. Don’t buy it unless you want to inflict annoyance and conflict in the parents of the child you’re gifting it to. If you’re looking for a good dinosaur toy that makes sound, try the authentic and well made Jurassic World roaring dino toys.
