Wonder Woman: The Official Movie Novelization

Thought it was a comic adaptation of the 🎥 but its a pocket novel adaptation of the 🎥 .Still enjoying reading it 🍿

A good novelization of the hit film.It's a faithful retelling, with minimal fleshing out of scenes or dialogue that you sometimes get in movie novelizations. The director of the film, Patty Jenkins, is quoted as saying that there were no deleted scenes from film, and the fact that there's very little additional material in this novelization does kind of back that up.The book does add to the film however by expanding on the thoughts of Diana and of Steve Trevor when the POV is focused on them. You really get more of a sense of Diana's straightforwardness, and perhaps naivety, as she leaves her home of Themyscira on a quest that takes her to the world of man during the First World War to defeat Ares the God Of War. We're also able to read the thoughts of Steve Trevor, revealing that he's very much in love with Diana and although he may not believe in the whole Amazons and Gods scenario, he does still trust and believe in Diana completely.The book is split into three parts - essentially the three acts of the film - Amazon, Warrior and Wonder Woman, and I like the way each part starts with a quote that sums up what you're about to read.If you're a fan of the film then you'll enjoy reliving it again with this well written novelization by Nancy Holder.

If you liked the film you will like this novelisation.It is no classic but it does what it says on the tin ie tells the tale of Wonder Woman.

Seen the movie, love the book, after starting it I couldn't put it down.Would recommend to comic book lovers like myself.

I enjoyed this book, but that is because I loved the movie. I was really hoping it would have been the type of adaptation that fleshed out the movie, but this is a scene for scene word for word recreation of the movie. Not one new thing added or explained here. Perhaps I was spoiled by the Star Wars movie novels I read recently, but I was a little disappointed that this did not have that bit extra that I had come to expect. It was well written hence 4 starts, but to get 5 stars I need it to offer more than what I saw on screen.

Una muy buena novelización de la película. Me ha gustado mucho y está bastante bien escrito, teniendo en cuenta lo que es. Recomendable, porque se extiende en cosillas que la peli pasa casi de puntillas o que tienes que adivinar, como los pensamientos de los personajes.

My favorite novel to my favorite movie. Pretty much follows the exact same script as the movie with a few add-ons.

Não tenho do que reclamar, edição econômica e muito pratica no manuseio.Sobre a narrativa, é uma transcrição do filme,há quem não goste, pra mim é muito interessante rever a história através da literatura.

Agréable, mais...Comme souvent sur les novélisations de films on a ici la mise en mots des images du film mais rien de plus. C'est juste la mise en forme littéraire du scénario du film, pas un vrai roman. Pas d'investissement dans les sentiments des personnages, pas de risque dans le développement de la culture ou des traditions qu'on pourrait imaginer pour les Amazones... Cela n'apporte aucune profondeur supplémentaire aux personnages. Allez voir le film, il est vraiment très bien, ce livre n'est que pour les fans absolus (comme moi ;-p) ou les collectionneurs compulsifs... Une occasion manquée de prolonger le rêve... Dommage.
