I purchased this to make scratching posts of table legs. The texture is excellent-- it's scratchy enough that the cats like it, but soft enough that I was able to wrap it without the need to wear gloves. My hands were still silky and uncalloused after I was finished with the nearly three hour project.The rope does have a very strong petroleum odor-- so strong I could smell it just opening the front door to pick up the box it was in. I would recommended leaving it outside for a few days to air before bringing into the house.I will definitely be ordering again, and would recommend!

This string is very durable. I am using it for the purpose of restringing a cat toy. Works great! Better quality than what originally came on the toy.

This rope is awesome and great quality. I ended up return just because my tire chair project wasn't lending itself to this rope. It's likely have rotted sitting outside in the rain all of the time. The product was wonderful though. It did have a strong odor, but it is jute. I had no issues with that, but for those sensitive to smells, be aware.

I like it. I uncoiled the rope into a individual strands and used one at a time to crochet a rug. Has a faint smell and my hands smell after chrocheting but it's dissipating. Once my rug is done I'll put some rug powder on it overnight and I'm sure that'll be good enough. I want a bigger rug so I'll buy another roll! Also the 2 strands can be taken apart even further into tiny individual threads so this is just a ton of product for the price. I'm using it to macrame, tie ornaments.. everything.
