I bought this for my run and gun jobs where typically setup takes longer than the actual filming. There were no directions in the box and for me, it was not intuitive to use. I love the portability of it, that it includes everything instead of buyg seperately, and I could also use with my bowens mount flashes. I still don’t understand the filter piece that comes with and feels like it was made out of tank metal!?!? Overall it works and quick setup.

As a guy who is a 1 man show when shooting videos time matters especially when your the camera guy , the lighting guy, the director and drone operator so all my equipment needs to be able to be set up and take down quickly and this Light dome is exactly what I needed in my life with its sturdy carry case , easy open set up amd well built soft screen and egg shell option that it comes with this dome comes with me on every shoot I do and the best part is it’s raven faster to strike at the end of the shoot . Made my studio production look 10 times better. Very happy with this light dome as it is much smaller and more space efficient than the 36inch model. It is easily collapsible and easy to pack

Does the job in a tight space. The upside is when it’s open and deployed it diffuses and works just as good as deeper diffusers. The downside is with its pop up design it doesn’t collapse as small. If your in a tight space for an interview or headshot shoot I highly recommend it. Just know that your probably not going to cram it into your already packed equipment bag. It’s about the size of a 2 liter of soda.

You can't go wrong with this dome! I use it when I can't get my regular light dome into the places where I film. It is basically a small version of the standard size dome. I am super pumped that I got this one and it comes with the same things and works identical to the regular size dome.....Click "add to cart" and you won't go wrong!!!!

I’m unsure why I thought the the version ii had the speed ring already attached to the soft box. It isn’t and it had an annoying rattle!This has been fixed with the latest version. I’m unsure how to make sure we get the latest version. Another thing is it just spins and spins without ever locking.

Aputure lighting products are some of the best I have come across for film making and video production, in general. I purchase two of these Light Domes. With the diffuser and grid, you can control the light to meet your needs for your film or video production, I highly recommend Aputure for all productions.

Compared to the initial one, it is SO easy to install. The branches are already installed so no metallic noises when you have to install it on set near the client (it looks jenky to do so, it looks less professionnal, but not here).Also love that a grid comes with it for more directionnal lighting. Both the grid and the diffuser attach with heavy duty (love that it's heavy duty, thanks Aputure) velcro for a easy time getting them on and off to fill your needs.It's pretty light and a lot smaller than other softboxes I'm used to work with, but for a portrait kind of shooting, it's pretty perfect. I've got mind installed on a 120D and the surface of it is about 2m from the object I'm shooting so it doesn't get in the shot, but still gives a nice shadow aroundthe face.Also also (sorry, it gets me excited to talk about it) it comes with a gadget I never thought I needed : it's a magnetic frame that sticks on the light and opens up to let you install a colored gel soooo fast and easy.That's it, get it, use it, bring it to shoots and be merry.

A great soft box with an elegant design, super simple setup. The gel holder is great. No loose threads and seems very sturdy. Attached easily to a Godox SL-60

This is so much smaller it's worth every penny. It's also incredibly easy to setup.
