Good, but not perfect
Clips are strong enough to hold both socks and shirt at a decent stretch which is good. The elastic straps are soft.My only issue is that the straps don't lay flat against your leg. One of them does but the other twists slight meaning it sticks out a little. More professional version have a leather triangular patch, used to joins the one strap coming from the sock to the 2 straps going to the shirt but this doesn't.Totally useable in the meantime until you find a more permanent solution, or a cheap and cheerful backup pair though.

One weak clasp that never stays attached longer than a few minutes, and after a week of use the sock clasps are already showing signs of rusting? I didn't realize I had such acidic sweat.UPDATE: Seller contacted me recently to offer a refund, provided I remove this review. Not doing that and dropping it down from 2 to 1 star. Poor form. They didn't offer a replacement either which suggests they don't have much faith in this product.

Brilliant ideea
Seen this on a man's you tube channel. What a great ideea. Works like a charm. Please disregard comments about poor quality. Had no issues whatsoever.Clips are robustly built and I personally had no issues at all from becoming loose. They stayed clipped on throughout my whole working day and I do a lot of standing/sitting action. If you have super fit trousers than yes they may be visible especially when sitting down. What I found useful is to clip the sock clip on the inner side of the leg. This helps the straps to kind of wrap around your leg rather than being a straight line from waist to ankles. The other thing needing to get use to was the sensation of my walking being 'aided' by the strap's elasticity. Not something uncomfortable but definetely is a different sensation.Would clearly recommend this for someone who wants to stay neat & smart looking throughout the day.

Essential for looking smart in a shirt
My job involves looking smart in a shirt and trousers/pants without a jacket to cover up the waist area. Before I got these, I was forever tucking in, and horror sometimes failing to do so in time, and the belly would sometimes be briefly on display...not a good look! After some research, I found out that shirt stays are the solution (especially since various militaries use them for their formal uniforms), and I can confirm that they are! These have proven to be a Godsend and made me look smarter and slimmer too (literally the day I started wearing them, a colleague asked if I had lost weight, which I hadn't at that stage). The shirt stays firmly in place tucked in all day, which is what they are meant to do.So why not the full five stars?1. It's hard to reach up for things - the tension in the shirt stays if you try to reach for something above your head means that sooner or later they will ping off your shirt if you do this often enough. I find I can easily reach for things at shoulder height, however, although it does pull a bit.2. It does leave a "triangle" in your trouser leg between the upper and lower leg when flexed at the knee whilst sitting. I figure though that this is far less noticeable than a poorly-tucked in shirt or visible belly!3. The big one: the clips don't always stay on. I think though, that this is more to do with what type of shirt you wear than the clips themselves: smoother/silkier/thinner shirts will cause the stays to slip off more easily (leading to needing to go to the lavatory to re-adjust!). Conversely, they very rarely seem to ping off at the bottom end with the socks. However, I have worked out a method to prevent this happening, and it's worth doing if you wear boxers / boxer briefs / trunks. Essentially, you need to clip the stays onto BOTH your shirt hem and the underwear leg at its hem to make what's between the teeth of the clip thicker and less likely to slip out. If you are wearing an especially shiny/silky/thin shirt, it would be best to fold the hem of the shirt over double as well to add more bulk to what's between the teeth of the clip. Try this, and you'll find that you drastically reduce the number of slip-off episodes that you experience. So these aren't perfect, but they are a heck of a lot better than just relying on a belt and continual tuckings-in. At the price they are, they're a steal.

... these with anything but first impressions are of a good solid product
First time buying shirt stays so can't compare these with anything but first impressions are of a good solid product. Purchase includes one pair of shirt stays in a small handy resealable pouch/bag, I actually thought it was a pack of sweets haha. They are made of elasticated material with an adjuster similar to that found on rucksacks to adjust the length. On one end you have a sort of clamp which attach's to your sock, the other has the 'Y' split with more clamps that fix to your shirt. Not too noticeable either once under your trousers, seems pretty straight forward to use couldn't imagine anyone having any problems. Delivery was quick. Overall happy purchase with no issue's. Thanks.

Secret Santa rated it highly
It created the right amount of mystery at Secret Santa present time. It took ten minutes for the assembled Christmas crew to work out what its function was. Served its purpose. As for its designed function, they did have a large belly to curve round and some distance to descend down a long leg to reach the targeted socks. Best to have short legs, trim stomach or socks that are thigh high. If you have all three, you're probably 7 years old and no need of such apparel.

Cheap is as cheap does
Thought I'd venture into the world of shirt stays but didn't want to invest too much. My initial observation is that being over 6 foot these were inadequate even on the 'max' setting and then one of the connectors just wouldn't grip the shirt at all. I suppose you get what you pay for in this instance. Will consider investing more elsewhere.

This piece kept my shirt in for the entire wedding ceremony. The first time in my life! I am so pleased with this because I did NOT have to re-tuck my short once in 8 hours!!! In fact, I felt sharp throughout. And if you're concerned about going to the toilet, no issues. All good. Buy it if you're sick of tucking & re-tucking your shirts. You won't be disappointed.
