iSpring DF2-CHR Faucet Water Filter for Kitchen, Bathroom, or RV Sink – Water Filter for Sink Faucet, 500 Gallons Long Life, Chrome Finish

We have hard water where we live and I bought this little filter for my laundry room sink for water when cooking, etc. I have a refrigerator filter but that takes too long when you are adding water to a big pot, so I bought a small sink filter for this purpose. It works great for what I use it for. I make a lot of brewed tea and go through a lot of gallons of tea each week. This works great for me. I bought a replacement filter and will buy one again when needed. Water is definitely better tasting and less hard. It fit my faucet perfect. The faucet came with multiple fittings and thread tape. It lasts up to 500 gallons per filter, which will last me more than a year for what I use it for. Water pressure is normal.

Easy to install. The box was open inside the delivery bag, but everything was new and all the parts were there. Simple and excellent. It's very functional and looks nice on the faucet. Seems well made. Water looks great as I filled a bottle. Great value and functional.

I bought this to replace a previous generation PUR filter that I never loved. That one didn't attach securely to the tap and filtered slowly. I love that this iSpring filter screws on to my faucet with no leaks; it feels much more secure and also takes up less space. It also filters the water quickly, almost too fast; it's hard to believe it's really filtering as great as they say when it feels like it's running through nearly as fast as when bypassing the filter. But it does get rid of the chlorine taste, so if that's your need I highly recommend it over the PUR filter. The reason I can't give it 5 stars is just because I don't know how well this really works beyond getting rid of the slight chlorine taste. I live in an area with good water quality, so can't see a difference, and don't have an easy way to test it otherwise. If the company could provide independent test results that would help; just saying that it removes "150+ contaminants" sounds too good to be true for such a lightweight and fast filter. And the pics showing the results of filter tests don't mean anything to me without clarification or independent verification. I'll update this in the future if that is provided, or anything else happens to change my opinion. So far I think this is a worthwhile product though, and that seems to be as good as one can hope for with faucet filters.

Second one and I like this one more than the first. This one does a good job reducing water presure and better water flow on the filtered side than the one it replaced.

This is much better than a Pur filter. My water is terrible and this makes it drinkable. It's so my much cheaper than buying water. I love that the filter is clear on to so you can see when it's dirty and needs changing. Not to mention, you can really see all the crap it's catching!

Imagine the horror of pending ope, heart surgery to replace your aorta valve only to learn your water filter ypu thought was protecting you is actually poisoning you with mould. I am shaken to my core! An Epigenetic/Nutrigenomic hair analysis/report sent up a major red flag on mould, which wasn't present 4 months ago. I thought it was because water overflowed from a plant that dripped onto a Scrabble box under my living room bookshelves, which sits near my air filter. WRONG! I just replaced this filter 3 months ago. Yesterday that still small voice screamed at me "look at the water filter". I opened the filter housing only to see black mould sitting on top. I immediately yanked it out and contacted my Epigenetic/Nutrigenomic specialist. She is probably more horrified than myself. Wisdom prevails, she instructed me to look at the 10 Stage Enviro Sink Top filter. I made the purxhasr, it will be here Monday. (Amazon, please check my order history if you doubt me). This isn't the sellers fault. This is a manufacturer issue/responsibility. It is a design flaw. You can't prevent hot water from traveling into the filter even if you have the filter valve shut/closed. Because I can't do stress I haven't bothered asking for the refund. Instead, I am going to be very loud/vocal. THIS PRODUCT IS A DANGER TO THE HEALTH OF YOU & YOUR FAMILY/ANYONE WHO CONSUMES WATER PASSING THROUGH THIS TYPE OF FILTER! ispring, if you are seeing this review do what is right for your customers! Redesign your jacked up filter housing to prevent hot water from ttravling into the filter when the filter valve is shut off. Those of us purchasing these filters are trying to care for pur bodies, not pollute them. P.S. Purchase date has zero to do with the date the filter was installed. DON'T EVEN GO THERE WITH ME!
