Nature's Wonders Paperback – Picture Book, March 1, 2018

This definitely isn’t a book you read straight through with your child. Instead this book is great when certain events come up like thunder storms or seeing deer. This book helps educate young readers and I’m excited to use it with mine.

This is an absolutely beautiful book. I saw it at barnes and noble and fell in love with it and bought it for my sons. It's a great survey of some fascinating parts of nature for elementary aged children. It works to catch their interest on a particular subject and drives them to find out more about it.

The information is the perfect length for preschoolers. Every page has a few sentences on a topic and an illustration. I do wish it was organized somehow (by topic), however.

My almost 5-year-old song has not shown interest in this book so far. We are using it as a part of the Torchlight pre-k curriculum, which encourages the page for the week as a starting point for a weekly inquiry to find more books on the subject (platypus, weather, etc.). Overall I think it’s a good book for school or home classrooms to encourage discovery, and I like the concept.

Students enjoyed.

The font size is barely readable for an adult. It's too small to read while holding out for a child to see and too small for a child to follow along as you read.
