This blanket is very nice. It is heavier than it looks, with thick folds at the edges. This is great because the blanket doesn't slide around everywhere. I ran it through the washer and dryer (delicate) when I got it to remove the remnants of straightening etc. and it came out intact with no odor. It did produce a lot of lint in the dryer. The lint trap had to be emptied halfway through drying and the item is large enough that it has to be rearranged in the dryer so all parts get drying air flow.My only complaint is that this blanket is not 100% cotton or 100% "tree fiber" as stated in the description. The tag says 85% cotton, 15% polyester. The blanket is nice and a good value for the money, but the description is false.

You have to wash it alone the first time you wash it. Otherwise you risk getting everything full of lint. Clean the drum after washing it, dryer as well.

First of all, the king sized blanket weighs over 7 pounds. That should tell you a lot. I was very impressed with the quality. I'm a single guy so adjust your standards but it's the nicest blanket I own. It's heavier than my cheap comforters and it looks really expensive. I came back to get one for my mom but all the king size ones were sold out.

Exactly what I was looking for. Bought 2 other blankets at $35 and $65 and between them all this has to be my favorite cotton blanket. For less than $25, this is a steal!
