I absolutely love this pen! Honestly when I ordered it, I was a little worried that the quality wouldn't be so good because of the price. I thought that the more a pen cost, the better the quality and the cheaper the pen, the worse the quality. So, comparing the price of this pen to other really expensive pens in the market really made me feel like there is no way that an affordable pen like this could have such good quality. BUT, boy was I wrong. As soon as it arrived, I immediately starting playing with it. I love the way it feels in my hand. It has a nice weight to it. When I write I like to attach the cap on the other end to balance the weight. I has an elegant design and I love the details on the pen; there is a nice balance of the two colors on the pen. The pen I ordered was gold and black and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The smoothness of the writing is the wow factor here. The ink runs smoothly like butter and it also runs consistently, there are no blobs and faint lines. It's so easy to write with this pen. Inserting ink in this pen is painless and honestly quite enjoyable. I really am impressed with the quality of this pen and I feel like I got really lucky, but in part I don't think it's luck, I just think that Dryden Designs is an excellent, honest brand. And that's all I want. I want to purchase another pen from them since my first purchase was so great. There aren't enough good things to say about this pen. This fountain pen in very nice and beautiful. The quality is very good and easy to put the cartridge in. This is my first time trying a fountain pen and I am very happy. It writes smooth and when I inserted the cartridge the ink came in into the nib right away. This pen has some weight to it when using the cap on the back. I got this pen at a nice sale price (only $9, a great deal). It came with a nice pen pouch, 24 cartridges and a second nib (haven't switched them out to try yet). Also has a ink converter that you take out to insert the cartridge (was confused, I'm new). You DONT use the converter at all if your using the provided cartridges. Don't worry for first timers like my self Instructions are included!

Beautiful pen. Feels like a very expensive one. Writes nicely. Good flow. My only complaint is that I only received 6 cartridges not the 24 as expected

This is a nice initial fountain pen for someone. It's very easy to use and easy to clean. With the top on, it feels great, and the weight and size feel natural.

I normally don't write reviews on anything not made in US. However, this is a fantastic pen. Writes very smoothly from the start. For under $20, a real bargain

This pen set is 5 star! It is beautiful looking, it feels well weighted and the fine nib that I am currently using writes smoothly like pricier pens I own. The converter filled easily and it holds a decent amount of ink! I like this pen, the fact that it comes with a pouch, 24 cartridges and a nice converter so much I have ordered another in a different color as well as one to gift.

The fine point tip is horrible !!! Tears through paper, the larger point has such a heavy ink flow that its next to impossible to write neatly with. I don't like it. Not to mention that it eats ink like crazy. I liked using the fine point but with tearing through paper it becomes un-usable.

I consider myself a pen fanatic. I own lots of fine writing pens of all kinds. I started writing with a fountain pen when I was a young girl in junior high school. I am now 67 years old. I have to say that in all these years I have never written with a better pen than the one I just purchased and received from Dryden pens. I bought the fine nib - slim barrel pen in the silver color. This is a fine quality writing instrument. I am impressed with everything about it. It feels good in the hand and it looks very handsome. It writes smoothly with no scratching or skipping. I wish I had known about these pens many years ago. I definitely will be purchasing more of these pens in the near future !! Treat yourself to a luxury pen at an affordable price. You will be “very” happy that you did !!!
