Simple but effective
I bought this as a replacement for a dedicated battery pack which died on me twice and would have been too expensive to get back in operation. This item provided a neat, portable and much more reliable alternative.I plan to use it to power the mount of my telescope, which by definition means it will be used outdoors. The instructions that came with the item do mention that it is for indoor use, but in the dry conditions that I always prefer for observation this should not be an issue. Just be aware of this if you're intending to buy, though.

A worthwhile investment
I bought this as I just bought a Celestron telescope and heard it was a bit hungry on batteries. This simple piece of kit works straight out of the box - just plug in and away you go. Well worth while.
