Hakubaku Fresh Ramen Shoyu Soy Sauce Flavor, 3 Pack, 9.7 ounce (2 servings/pk), Japanese Restaurant-Style Fresh Noodle Soup

I cannot understand the couple of negative reviews on this, because at about $6 per large serving, it's much less expensive than what you'd find in a restaurant, and much better quality than most. When I began eating ramen, it was in Japan, circa 1978. So I admit, I was spoiled - I'd never tasted those 25 cent packets they sell in the US. Every trip to Japan, I'd marvel at how great a complete meal the ramen made, and every time, I'd try to find anything close to it at home, with no luck. Eventually I found good ramen at a few restaurants in NYC and Los Angeles, but the price is so much higher than anything in Japan - and the quality still about the same as a good street vendor there. So when a Japanese friend recommended the Hakubaku brand, I jumped on it.I think these are as close as you'll get, in a kit, to what you'd find in a good restaurant here. If you add vegetables, protein, a dash of sesame oil and whatever else you can come up with, it makes for a terrific meal. A nice surprise!

It is really good. It’s slightly sweet and I didn’t expect that, since some are salty. There is a good amount and the noodles are fresh and yummy. Each pack has enough for two people which is great because some that are made for two people but let’s say only you wish to eat one that day, are packaged openly. This has two individual packages inside each pouch. So you don’t have to worry about only using one ! Really good, soup is slightly sweet but better than most instant that I’ve tried.

Flavor is good but salty. It's nice if you put other stuff in along otherwise it's too salty. Package states salt "162%" of daily value per serving

I love the tonkatsu flavor of this brand so I was surprised that the shoyu flavor was only so-so. Very bland to me with no depth of flavor. The noodles are great tho. 3.5 stars

This item popped up on one of Amazon's recommendations and since my boys are Ramen fans I took a chance. The noodles look and feel like the Ramen you buy in the store refrigerator section. I kept looking for a "must be refrigerated" label but there isn't one because it doesn't need refrigeration. It does have about a 4 month expiration however so you can't keep it in the pantry forever. Everyone loved the flavor and the noodle texture. It might seem a little pricy but each package has two generous servings. I just ordered a second package to be sure we don't run out.

I flew Narita/Osaka for many years for my airline. LOVE Ramen! This is quite possibly the worst Ramen on the planet. Perhaps the other stock flavors are better...but I'm not willing to waste my money to try them.

Absolutely top taste and texture from these noodles and broth. I ordered another brand about a year ago. This product is much better I am so glad I found them. Worth every penny.
