Pro: Nice to have a narrow jean that fits athletic thighs. Con: inconsistent sizing.
I have a love/hate relationship with the 541s. I spent a LONG time in a department store trying on all the different Levis because I can never find jeans that fit right. I'm 5'9" 175 lbs, and my legs are slightly long for my body. Skinny below the knee, thicker athletic build in the thigh and butt from a lifetime of sports. Now that it's in style to have skinny pants on the bottom, I'm usually out of luck. Anyways, I found a pair of 541s that fit great at the store. Bought those, and then went to buy more on Amazon for a better color selection. The graphite color that I got on Amazon was WAY bigger on the bottom. I also noticed inconsistencies like that in the 541s at the store.I love the pair I got in store. They're now my go-to jeans. But the ones off Amazon were a totally different fit. I'm nervous to order any more because it's a pain to go drop off my return for shipping. Someday I might try again, but for now I'll just keep wearing the one pair that actually fits.

PERFECT jeans for the athletic body type.
I normally wait quite a bit to leave reviews on products but these jeans are just way too perfect to not spread the word. I train a lot and have so for the past 14 years. finding jeans that fit well and look nice has been the biggest hurdle ever. These 541 stretch jeans are the best I have ever had. After trying them on I purchased two more pairs. For reference, I am 6'3" 285 lbs. The 34 inseam in absolutely on point. If you're on the fence about these, buy them. For the price, you can not go wrong.

3 different colors review.
This review is for 3 different colors of the Levi's 541 Jeans.I was very excited to find the 541 fit, I had never tried them on before, and generally have a hard time finding jeans that are comfortable and look fashionable (enough). These are not skinny jeans or slim fit jeans by any means, and for people looking at 541s that is probably not a reality anyway. I am 6'5 and have larger thighs and butt due to athletics and working out my entire life. I can squeeze 511s on in a 36x36, but am left with a baggy waist and thighs that are busting through the seems. For years I wore 505s, I still like them, they are comfortable and not too baggy. But, I wanted to find a pair of jeans that was a little more tapered and fashionable to be worn with a nice shirt or sport coat if need be. I tired some higher priced brands, but its hard to find a 36 inch inseam that you aren't paying over $150 for. Then I found the 541. These jeans are great, more tapered than the 505s but enough room in the seat and thigh to be comfortable. The only downside to these and the reason for 4 stars is the lack of consistency in sizing. In 505s I wear a 34x36, and I read a few reviews that said to go a size up, so my natural thought was try 36x36. I ordered 3 colors, Lake Merrit, Midnight and Rigid Dragon. I will list the sizes and thought below, because I ended up ordering 10 pairs of jeans and returning 7.Lake Merrit - more stretch and give in the waist and thigh. True to size in 505s. 36x36 WAY big, 35x36 a little roomy, 34x36 just right.Midnight - 36x36 too big, 34x36 - very tight in the thighs, 35x36 a little roomy on the waist, but way more comfortable in the thigh.Rigid Dragon - 36x36 initially felt ok- stretched alot too big, 35x36 - ordered a few of this size because one felt tiny and short, and the other ended up being just about right. went with one of the 35x36s.Overall a great product if you have an athletic build and want a more tapered fit.

Same size as other 2 pair I have but these are extremely tight, not even close to fitting.
Ordered a new pair of 34/34 of the 541 athletic fit jeans. I had 2 other pair I'd bought a couple of years agoand wanted another pair in same color as the one pair wearing out. The 2 pair I have fit great, not tightin hips and loose in waist. When the new pair arrived a couple of days ago and I tried them on, I couldbarely get the button closed and the hips were tight, even with the stretch. This pair isn't even close to being34/34 like the other 2 pair. I laid the pair on the bed with the other pair behind them to see if the waistwas the same..not even close. The new pair was at least 1" on either side too small compared to the otherpair. I then looked at where this pair was made; made in Mexico. My other 2 pair were made in Cambodiaso maybe that's the difference in why this pair are way too small compared to the 2 pair made in Cambodia. So I will be returning them. Also, the color is not what was shown in the ad; the pair I received werevery light blue instead of a medium blue. Levi's used to be the only thing I wore every day but it's gettingso that find a pair to fit because of what country they are made in, is really a problem.

Beware Levis inconsistent fit
Ordered two pairs of Levi's 541s, they were cut significantly different in the legs, so fit (or didn't) completely different. Where's the consistency, Levi's? Quality Assurance? Especially for online purchases, this is a major inconvenience, and ultimately ends up costing me time and energy to re-order what should have been more consistently produced in the first place. Where's my refund for that wasted time and effort?

Every day is leg day
I love the new 541 fit. I got three pairs of the Rigid Dragon that I rotate through because I don't like making decisions about my clothes. Combined with a nice polo or a button down, these make a fairly acceptable work uniform. A sports coat looks great with these if I have a meeting with bigwigs or something.I've always had fairly large legs, so I was intrigued when I found these in some mall store. I can't get a lot of jeans for normal people over my calves, so I've previously been resigned to the "husky fit" which makes me look like even more of a fat kid. I regularly squat and deadlift, and these are the most acceptable fitting pair of jeans in my price range. The front pockets fit a Galaxy SII comfortably. They have YKK zippers. The only think I would change is increasing the number of belt loops in the back.Wash: Zippered and buttoned, inside out, cold/cold/cold, after about a weeks worth of wearing. My legs don't sweat or get gross sitting in my air conditioned corporate 5x5 half-walled cube-hell, so they don't really smell like anything at all after a week.
