A Hidden Science of Hado
I learnt about Masaru Emoto’s water research in the film 'What The Bleep Do We Know!?' It was an information that really left me speechless, and I ordered his books at once.I will not enter here the discussion about the credibility of his research. Allegedly, his water photography technique is not meeting the standard of double-blind tests. So, I will base my book reviews strictly on quotes taken from the books, and try to check his research back with my own twenty years of bioenergy research. This is an approach that allows me to avoid judging the controversy, or any of the positions as ‘right’ or ‘wrong’, yet it helps to see that there is a certain probability that the memory of water is likely to reflect a certain bioenergetic functionality inherent in nature.I will try to bring some structure in this book review by relying not on hearsay, but on the author’s own statements. I will put some quotes and comment on them. If Emoto has not got full credentials, let us look what his writings reveal about him. I got the impression that he comes over as a wise man, a man with a very high level of intuitive knowledge, and also somebody who knows to write. His style is easy yet deep. He knows to express truth in a very clear and pristine way. To begin with, he writes:—So how can people live happy and healthy lives? The answer is to purify the water that makes up 70 percent of your body./xviFrankly I have never considered before in my life the fact that I consist mainly of water, and that because of this simple fact, I have to do something about that water I am consisting of. Have you? To be true, Paracelsus, one of the greatest healers in human history, said something similar. And my next question, logically so, would be: and why water? Emoto replies:—Water serves as a transporter of energy throughout our body. /xviiHaving studied virtually all written traditional knowledge about the bioenergy, after so many years, I overlooked the most essential and thus had to learn it from Emoto, that is, that this ch’i that flows through my body flows through my body because of water, because it basically flows through that watery substance in me. Now, Emoto puts it more precisely:—More now than in the past, the medical community has begun to see water as a transporter of energy, and it is even being used in the treatment of illness. Homeopathy is one such field where the value of water is recognized./xviiHomeopathy is indeed concerned with water. But most of us hardly ever knew why a homeopathic formula is diluted so much, and consists almost entirely of water? When we get to know that water is the magic here, and not the substances that are mixed with it in the homeopathic tincture, all becomes clear. Succinctly speaking, there are two major arguments that Emoto advances in order to explain his research, and that his detractors do not seem to catch up with. What is it that makes water to be a receptor and vehicle for thought? It is the fact that water, as all in life, is vibration and that this vibration can be manipulated through intent. But then, how and why does vibration change its frequency? Emoto writes:—What you really know is possible in your heart is possible. We make it possible by our will. What we imagine in our minds becomes our world./xxiiThe lesson what we can learn from this experiment has to do with the power of words. The vibration of good words has a positive effect on our world, whereas the vibration from negative words has the power to destroy./xxvNow, in fact this is true. The hermetic tradition taught since times immemorial that words are codified vibrations. The scriptures all converge in saying that in the beginning there was the Word, and that the Word was sacred and had creational power. In old Egypt and India, the hierophants used vibrations for healing. It is crucial to have a glimpse into the background of Emoto’s expertise, which is the Japanese Shinto tradition. Shinto is the native religion of Japan and was once its state religion. After World War II, Shinto lost its status as the state religion of Japan; some Shinto practices and teachings, once given a great deal of prominence during the war, are no longer taught or practiced today—yet they are still an essential part of the Japanese culture, be it only on the level of the collective unconscious. The fact that we vibrate, that we are a particular arrangement of frequencies, has been affirmed by not only the hermetic tradition, but also by clairvoyants. Not only do we vibrate, but we vibrate differently. In a sense, we all come with a unique vibrational pattern.I would like to add one interesting detail that was a surprising result of exposing water to positive affirmations, negative affirmations (insults) or else leaving the water completely unattended. The surprising outcome was that the worst water, the one with the worst crystals, was not the water that had received the insults from the school children who helped carry out the experiment, but the water that had received no attention at all from their part. Emoto comments:—To give your positive or negative attention to something is a way of giving energy. The most damaging form of behavior is withholding your attention./65This is a fact known from research on child abuse. Children who have been abused tend to go back to their abusers despite the fact that abuse is going to continue. And there was always a question mark in forensic research why children do that, and why they do not, or very seldom, betray their abuser in order to get rid of the abusive relationship? It has been found that it’s because the negative attention children receive in the form of abuse is for them still better than the total lack of attention they get in their homes. This fact may eventually lead us to better understand the true needs of children, because attention and love are one and the same thing. Try to show somebody that you love him or her and try to do that without giving them any attention. You will see that it’s impossible. The very thought of the person is already attention, and by thinking of the person you are sending out a vibration, and energy. What we commonly call love is exactly that bioplasmatic energy that pervades the universe, and that has been given so many names over the ages. And when we think in what Fritjof Capra calls the ‘systems view of life’, it is not astonishing after all to note that a natural element such as water can be impregnated with that energy, or its upside-down version, which is hatred.

Beautiful imagery
I am really enjoying this little book. The pictures are amazing and I like the way it is written, easy to understand. The author is able to describe the science of what is taking place without sounding so technical that he leaves the non scientist wondering what the heck he’s talking about. I highly recommend this little book as an introduction to the affect words, thoughts, and sounds have on water, and for understanding that water has a degree of intelligence and memory. I don’t wish to spoil it for you so I’llstop here. Just check it out for yourself.

100+ Color Pictures of Water Crystals Rejoicing or Expressing Sorrow
Ponder, what it is written in Genesis 1:3, "And God said, Let there be light: and there was light." With all of Genesis chapter one repeatedly saying "And God said..." before something else was created. And Proverbs 23:7 stating, "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:..." It seems that the water around us, and within us can easily be changed by how we label ourselves, think and pray. To work for us, or against us.If you think that is too much, to agree to. Then consider Luke 19:40 where Jesus stated, "...I tell you that, if these (people) should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out." Documenting that even stones, can cry out!And Isaiah 55:12 that states, "...the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands." And even the mountains and hills, can sing! And the trees, can clap their hands! So yes, I do believe that Masaru Emoto's work with water crystals, is from our Heavenly Father. As He tries to teach us, that all matter has intelligence... that is effected - by us. Where in the science word, even Quantum Physics, has shown that matter has intelligence - "What The Bleep Do We Know?!" and "What the Bleep!? Down the Rabbit Hole" video's go into this further. So as it is written, "And God said..." - we too have that power given through Him to effect this world, even to the level of the water all around us. Psalms 82:6 "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High." And John 10:34 states, "Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?" For if a dog begets a dog, a horse begets a horse, a bird begets a bird, and so forth. Would not a God, beget gods? For only if we cling onto Him, through the atonment of Jesus Christ. And follow in Christ's example. Are we not also raised, taught, guided, and being trained to be Gods? Ahh... if we but follow the Holy Ghost and the breadcrumbs, Heavenly Father is leaving all around us. For as it states in Jeremiah 29:13 "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart." Our Heavenly Father who directed the creation of all that is around us, is "not" an insure God! And will not, mislead us! Isaiah 41:10 "¶ Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Genesis 3:15 "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." For our Heavenly Father, and His children win this war! And all Satan can do is bruise our heal, while we can give the insecure adversary - who sows seeds of doubt and fear... a bruised head!Still, a disbeliever? Just - "experiment" upon our Heavenly Father words, and pray and ask him to know the truth. Alma 32:27 "But behold, if ye will awake and arouse your faculties, even to an experiment upon my words, and exercise a particle of faith, yea, even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you, even until ye believe in a manner that ye can give place for a portion of my words." Moroni 10:4 "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. 5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things."

In this stream runs the continuous water's mother. (A poets dream.)
How one rates any book will depend, to same extent, on what we expect of it.Being a photographer of some 60 years experience, I commenced an appraisal of the book by studying the images of crystals that go to make a large proportion of the content. I have to admit to finding the captions puzzling. For example, page 17. Two images related to subjecting water samples to performances (recordings, presumably!) of Beethoven's 5th and 6th Symphonies.First observation: both works take over 30 minutes to perform. Are we to understand the entire work was "used" in these so-called experiments? If so, then I should think it difficult to fathom to what the water might be responding; the orchestration, the tempo, the volume or just about anything?! (It is worth noting that interpretations for performances vary greatly: Toscanini tended to take a fast tempo, Furtwangler a much slower and varied tempo (rubato) and so on. Human response to interpretations vary, so quite what the poor water molecules made of it all I could not begin to imagine.I therefore approached the text in a state of some trepidation. The Introduction and Prologue got off to a reasonable start for I am inclined to agree with the author in that the "world" is in a bit of mess, mostly as a result of human practices. Problems soon arose for me in subsequent chapters through the frequent allusion to God, "cosmos", “soul”, “universe” etc. (Bear in mind this is a translation from the author's own language.) I tend to be put off when such words are used without qualification.Masaru Emoto may be clear in his own mind as to what he understands by the use of the word “cosmos” as he is about the meaning of God but he needs to be more focused in his delivery for the book to be taken seriously. Of course he is not alone by any means when making sweeping statements, almost without exception the words God and universe are banded about with no attempt at a definition for the words themselves.Things did not improve as I progressed through the book, I'm afraid. One could quote numerous examples that would convince the intelligent reader that whatever else the book might be it certainly is NOT a scientific treatise.Let us sample verbatim from page 71:A physicist conducted an experiment in which he studied how the positions of the stars affected water. Using water containing various minerals, he tested how easily paper soaked up the water when the stars were in certain positions. What he found was that when Saturn has a large influence on Earth, lead responded by being soaked up by the paper, while other elements such as copper, silver and steel showed little or no response. We can deduce from this that there is a close connection between Saturn and lead. Metals resonate the emotions and moods of people, and so the next logical deduction is that Saturn is closely related to the emotions of anger.END of QUOTE.Without wishing to appear scornful I have to say this is total hogwash.“Stars” – their positions in relation to what? Their Right Ascension (R.A.) and declination (dec.)? Their altitude and azimuth at a given time and place?*Next we have PLANET Saturn mentioned as if it were a “star”!!*One may surmise that what is implied here may be the apparent placement of the PLANETS – in this instance Saturn – against the background of the constellations of the zodiac.Incidentally, the third paragraph puts me in mind of a student (I lectured for London University in astronomy and the history of mathematics) who would insist that the Sun is a red cabbage!Page 72 expands on these fantasies, thus: The number of planets in the solar system is 9, a number when multiplied by 12 gives us 108. Using the periodic table (of elements), we may someday be able to identify which planets correlate to which elements.END of QUOTE.The number of KNOWN planets in the solar system is now given as 8 since Pluto has been relegated to the title of “dwarf planet”. All quite arbitrary, I would have to suggest. The human brain may imagine what it pleases. Concepts are the fruitful products of our imaginations. In this way we all have ideas on what the words God, soul and cosmos etc. may come to signify to us as individuals. Our perception of the external world—the physical world outside our bodies—is a synthesis from inherent knowledge and experience, teaching, indoctrination and so forth.Unfortunately I have to report that little of what the author has to offer with this book holds water for me!Note: The book lacks an index.
