HP Microserver Gen 1 PSU
The PSU on our first generation HP Microserver died. This unit is a perfect replacement. All screws lined up. All the right connectors were included; there were no extra connectors. Installation was straightforward. Looks and works like OEM.

My HP N54L microserver is back up and running.
My HP N54L microserver stopped working. After doing some testing I was able to determine that the power supply had failed. This power supply installed with only one issue in that one out of the three mounting screws would not install. Besides that everything is working fine.

FIts perfectly and works like a charm
Update:Figured out the issue, it was a connector issue. The plug to the montherboard was not snapped in completely. Once that was pushed in with force, all power ports worked just fine. I had checked that a couple of time but I had to exert a bit more than normal force. The PSU fits fine but one of the 3 screw holes does not line up but its not going anywhere with 2 of the 3 screws. That mismatch cost the missing star.Old review:Got it from Amazon Warehouse in Very Good missing manual notation. This PSU has 3 Power rails and 5 Molex plugs. 2 each on 2 rails and a single plug on one rail. Plug everything in and 2 of my disks come up offline. After swapping the power plugs around, the 2 offline come online and the other two don't power up. Tested with a volt meter and one of the rails does NOT have any 3.3 volts at all. Spent 2 hours to troubleshoot all this as I have to power off and restart the N40L multiple times. Try to work with Amazon Customer service to see if they will replace it and lost another hour only to be told to try and contact KDM Power the manufacturer. This was NOT a 3rd party purchase. It was an Amazon Warehouse purchase. The item was received 2 days back and I just installed it and it came up dead out of the box. It does start my server so its not completely dead but it is useless when it can only power 2 of the 4 disks the server takes.

Works as described
My HP MIcroserver has very tight tolerances for internal components, so I was concerned about proper fit, but this was better than OEM. Highly recommended.

Dead on arrival and a fire hazard, beware!
When I first got the power supply I thought it was weord the fan did not turn on when jumping the green wire to ground. After I had it connected to my computer I can see it is not turning on and supplying power. I double checked with another power supply and the computer works fine so it is solely a problem with this kdm power supply.I would not recommend anyone buy this power supply if you intend on using more than 120W because there are only three 20 gauge wires for the 12V supply and these wires will melt if supplying any significant amount of current through them.

Catastrophic failure on power on
I was super-excited when I received my power supply. It appeared to be a perfect fit for my N40L MicroServer. Unfortunately I failed to notice the power selector was set to 120V and so as soon as I connected it to my 240V mains (Australian standard) it blew. What was disappointing is that the protective devices (i.e. fuse) didn't protect the power supply. Instead one of the integrated circuits blew its top off and now the unit is unfixable.
