No, you don't have to. No Monthly Fee. Built in 32GB memory provides more than 180 days events loop recording. After the 32GB capacity memory gets full, the new video will replace the oldest video automatically.

Will these cameras pick up animals in the bk yard ?

Yes I specifically have a camera in back yard and it does very well even rabbits running through pucks it up

Can these cameras charge while in use?

These home security cameras will still work while in charging, but we don't recommend leaving the camera in charging for days or months. Normally it just takes 6-7 hours to fully charge the camera. By the way, please notice that battery life per charge is based on lab data: 20 events per day and 10s recording length each. Actual duration varies depending on recording frequency, video length, light and siren trigger frequency.
