Did not work! Got a malfunctioned device notification from windows!!
I ordered this because it was being sold and fulfilled by Amazon. There was no OEM packaging - well, no packaging at all - just a transparent plastic pouch and inside this little SSD with a c-c cable. Windows gave malfunctioned device notification. No response from a Mac. Returned within 10 minutes and to be fair, Amazon was quite efficient to return the money back. But I wonder why sell this kind of products in first place. No quality control and concern for customer distress. What if I needed this for something very urgent? This is first time it happened with Amazon for me - otherwise Amazon experience so far has been excellent. Yes - stay away from this product - specifically the discounted one. Or if buying one, check immediately.

Good but NVME is better
The drive works alright and all but after doing some research after it's way better and cheaper to get a NVME SSD and a housing. They are way faster, cheaper and less prone to connector damage. What that means is if the type c port on this drive gets damaged then the whole drive gets bricked because the connector is soldered on to it. But an nvme using a housing is detachable from the connector so you would simply replace the housing.Also I can't stress enough that NVMEs are way cheaper
