100% Function
Great little (emphasis on the little) drive for a good price considering the size and capacity. I changed to a longer USB-C cable for convenience, but I already had it on hand. The short one is better if you want to save space in your briefcase, but I use this in the house.

Nice form factor and works (so far)
This La Cie drive replaced a g-technology 2GB drive that failed just short of 4 years usage. I back up my MACbook each weekend so the drive was used only lightly. Hopefully, the La Cie will provide similar service. Both the g-drive and the the La Cie are covered by 3-year warrantees.

It is heavy !
For me it works but seems to drain fast my MacBook Air battery ( don’t know if it’s the hard drive or the MacBook itself) and it is heavy in mi opinion.

Died after 1 year of little use
Hard drive died after 1 year of little use. Starting making a clicking sound and would not show up in disk manager.

Incredibly fast. Game changer for me and my workflow.
This is by far the most advanced and fastest drive, apart from smallest, that i own to date. It has changed and improved my workflow. For those using a pre USB-C intel macbook, the only bummer is that it doesn't come with the right cable. Only a very short USB-C to USB-C. I had to buy the cable separately so it does add up to the already somewhat hefty cost, but if i'm not mistaken, it is currently the fastest and best performing drive on the market.
