Will this work well in my 40 gallon red eared slider tank?

We use it in our 60 gallon for our red eared and it works great. Have no problems. I truly think it is the best heater we have gotten. You can maintain the temp in the tank very easily.

Is that ok get 200w heater for 10 gallon tank?

The 200W heater is too powerful for a 10 gallon fish tank, choosing 50W or 100W will be better.

Do these have some kind of warranty? I got mine in September and it broke today. Just cracked and stopped heating.

I do not believe they have any warranty. I’ve had no problems with mine. It’s extremely odd for them to crack unless possibly it cracked from shock or maybe you were changing the water and forgot to unplug it because if the glass gets heated while the elements heating up and then you add water it could crack it.
