Sherwood Pet HealthBaby Chinchilla Food - 4.5 lb.

I was buying Supreme Petfoods Limited Charlie Chinchilla Food 6 Lb originally, but my chins only ate the colored stuff out of it! I knew they weren't getting all the nutrients they needed, not to mention the amount of pellets wasted, but they LOVE this food. My adult chins actually prefer this to the Sherwood Adult Chin Food; I mix them. Since I began feeding them this, they seem healthier: their coats are smoother, they're more active, and they actually eat it ALL. Chins are very picky--you will know if they don't like the product. Oh, and it's also way cheaper than Charlie Chin Food.

Our chinchilla not eating it at all!!!!!!! First time for 13 years of our chinchilla's life. I am not recommend it.

I bought this chinchilla food for the young male chinchilla I adopted in February. I was told my new chinchilla was about a year old but he seemed much younger as he need not want to eat the same foods and treats my other chinchilla ate. He definitely wasn't a baby sized chinchilla so I knew he didn't need some sort of formula but he seemed like he wasn't quite a full adult yet. Worried because he wasn't eating any type of pellet food or enough fresh hay (which was the only thing he would eat) and was starting to lose weight, I bought it in hopes that my little boy would eat more and it worked. It's the first pellet food he actually wanted to eat and it helped him get a healthy weight. It also helped him get used to eating a more balanced diet. He now likes to try different types of hays, pellets, and treats as a result of this food. He eats this food everyday mixed with other hay and an occasional healthy treat but he seems to be growing less fond this one over time. Since other people have said their older chinchillas prefer the baby pellets compared to the adult pellets of this brand so I gave my other older chinchilla these pellets as well and ironically she hates them. My senior girl is just picky for the first time I guess. This food looks and smells fresh, and I like that the bag is resealable. Overall a great food for young chinchillas.

My Chin is picky when he eats he would pick out the pieces he liked, but leave all the green bits. The reviews looked promising + the info provided by seller on nutrients, and ingredients. I just mix this in with his other grain food I buy, and he eats it all!! ❤ the color difference and smell is very different also..(in a good way though lol) way better than store brand stuff!
