Happy with purchase
Very happy with this phone. Got it at a discounted price and it has good storage, long battery life and good camera. Only issue is that the fingerprint reader doesn't work with a tempered glass screen protector. All in all though, I would recommend this phone. The seller sent it promptly and much more quickly than the estimated delivery date.

No doubt about it. Samsung produce excellent products and the Galaxy A42 5G is top notch. It was very easy to set up. The screen displays images and text extremely well and I have not encountered any problems. In other words I am a very happy user.

Better than I expected
I really like this phone. So easy to use that even an old fart like me can do it without problems. Great big screen which I can actually see! The camera is awesome. I'd certainly recommend this.

"Your Fingerprint is not Recognised"
"Your fingerprint is not recognized. Your face is not recognized." Get used to these messages.I replaced my oneplus 6 for this phone due to the Samsung's wide angle lens I needed for work.The A42 has a larger screen than the oneplus 6 and very nice it is too. However there's a couple of issues;The A42 is definitely slower than my old one plus 6.The fingerprint recognition only works about half the time. The sensor is on the bottom of the front screen, so if you use a screen protector that seems to drastically reduce its ability to read your fingerprint. I've missed so many phone calls now because I can't unlock the phone that it's ended up in my bin several times.The face recognition is also pretty hit-and-miss.Don't forget your pin code because you'll be using that frequently.Unfortunately those issues spoil what would otherwise be a good phone.

Good value and good spec
Good spec of phone for the price, battery lasts well. My only jibe is the symbols keyboard has changed from other Samsung phones and is awful.
