Is it necessary to cover the area after applying this cream?

Not really. Where mine is located, it's covered by my shirt but I apply it, rub it in and then put my shirt on and done. I do find it best to apply it before bed. It's usually gone by morning or at least there's a lot less of it. Hope this helps!

Can you apply on scalp

I suppose you could use it on your scalp but if your scalp is itchy there is a special shampoo you get from a dermatologist, it’s red and it stops the itching. Also, there is a follow up lotion that your dermatologist can give you which also stops itching.

Would this work for pinta?

I am not sure. I would show it to your doctor and ask them. That's what I did initially. I had some skin rash issues and my doctor said I could use it and it works beautifully for me. Best for me is after showering and drying off, I apply it and sleep. My rash is usually gone by morning

I have dry scaley brown patches on my skin (i've lost pigment) will this help gain back color and clear it up?

I'm honestly not sure. I use it as I am losing weight for skin irritation and for that it works amazingly! I wish I was more help. My recommendation is to just invest the $8 and try it out. It can't hurt :) Hope it works out for you!
