Nice quality, small keyboard for touch typists in a small workspace.
COVID has me working in my small home office. I have my work MacBook, my Windows Laptop, and my old iMac all jammed onto a small desktop. Wanting to clean up my desk, I was looking for a Bluetooth keyboard that would work with all three. Which brought me to this small, wireless keyboard with the ability to pair with three machines. Here's the good news, this is a well-made keyboard. It's fast. If you have the ability to type very fast, the switches on this keyboard have strong tactile feedback that allows you to actuate each key without fully depressing the key. If you aren't a touch typist, this probably isn't the keyboard for you. If you are a touch typist, you have three key combos that you will need to learn, or the benefits of this keyboard miss you entirely. This is a noisy keyboard, for a reason. If you are a touch typist, you may like the audible click each keypress makes. This is, however, not a friendly keyboard for use in a shared workspace. This is a small keyboard, but it has full-sized keys. This is great if you are a touch typist with a small, private, workspace. It does require some tradeoffs. In order to make the keyboard small, but retain full-sized keys, there are fewer keys than a standard 101 keyboard, this machine has multiple functions or layers for many of the keys. This keyboard has full-sized arrow keys that occupy one layer. Press Fn+Enter and that layer is disabled and now the up arrow becomes the /? key. Left arrow becomes the right Alt key and the Right arrow becomes the right CTRL-key. (I'm not sure what the down arrow becomes.) Tada!In my case, I also need to flip the functions of the keyboard from windows to Mac. To do that, I hit Fn+A or Fn+S Then I have access to all the windows or Apple functions. I can use Fn Q to switch to my work laptop, Fn W to switch to my windows laptop and Fn E to switch to my old iMac.Kudos to this keyboard for having EXCELLENT Bluetooth management and excellent power management. It reliably stays connected to the machine I want it connected. It reliably switches on command. It reliably reconnects after it has gone to sleep. In this regard, it is even better than my old Apple wireless keyboard. Finally, the top row of keys acts both as your regular numeral row and your Function keys. To toggle that layer, I hit Fn+Ctrl to flip back and forth.Admittedly, Remembering these three key combos takes a little getting used to. The instructions are sparse, but they exist, and the keyboard functions as advertised. This is a loud, clicky keyboard. I kinda like it, though I have to close my office door or my wife will comment on the noise. The keyboard has survived its first week of use on one charge, so that seems acceptable. It charges through its included USB cable. The battery is permanent and not hot-swappable. The key switches are permanently soldered in, so they aren't swappable either. The keycaps are swappable, and I may just buy a new keycap for the "WIN" button.Oh, it has amber lights. I have the black version of this keyboard and they look nice, though I don't really need all the wavy patterns. The layers thing doesn't bother me too much, but it is hard to get used to my wife laughing whenever I type._____I've spent a bit more time with this keyboard and I've added a start. It was easy for me to add the Fn+Enter to toggle the arrow keys and Fn+Ctrl to toggle the function keys.I'm super happy with the ability to switch between three devices on demand. This really is a great keyboard for the money, and the seller did a great job getting the keyboard shipped promptly. They even sent a personal follow up email to ensure everything went well and that all my questions were answered.

Decent keyboard for gamers
If you’re a gamer on a budget, the RK61 is for you. Not only does it offer its wireless capabilities but it has a keycap puller allowing you to easily access and clean your keyboard. It is not heavy at all and this keyboard can last you over 5 years even for everyday use and gaming. However, if you are into a more professional scene of gaming I recommend something more entitled to you and something with more dependability

Solid Budget Option, Some Flaws
I’ve been using the RK61 for a while now, and for the price, it’s honestly a really solid keyboard. The 60% layout is perfect if you want to save space, and the brown switches feel smooth for both typing and gaming. Sounds really good, bluetooth is easy with the chip, theres no lag or delay, and its battery life lasts a couple days. There’s one small issue though—sometimes a few keys won’t register. It’s an easy fix with Fn + Enter, but it’s a little annoying. If you don’t want to deal with that, it’s probably just easier to keep it wired.Still, for the price, it’s a great deal. It works well, feels good, and does the job without breaking the bank. Just keep those quirks in mind!

Effortless Pairing. Top-knotch customer service.
My primary interest in this keyboard was in the bluetoothfunctionality, but as a developer whose other two main keyboards are40% configurations, I could see the need for a relatively largerkeyboard in some situations. The keyboard was shipped in a container without packing material.Inside of the shipping container the keyboard was boxed extremelysecurely. Previous to the purchase of this keyboard I have owned fivemechanical keyboards, two 80%, one 60%, and two 40%. This is the firstbluetooth keyboard for me and also the first keyboard I have ownedthat is marketed as a gaming keyboard. The keyboard feels solid, sturdy and stable. It is my first experiencewith brown keys and I love their feel. Despite complaints by otherreviewers, I find a pleasant compromise between key spacing and theoverall footprint of the keyboard. Certainly, the keys are not ascrowded as my vortex core 40%, and they are very easy to pull. Thesloping contour of the keyboard makes the absence of feet moot, in myopinion. The removable type-c cable is the best of wired connectionoptions for me.This is also my first bluetooth device. Despite my lack of experiencewith BT, I found pairing with our mobile phones, computers and tabletto be very, very easy.Documentation left much to be desired. I found it extremely difficultto follow. However, RK's customer support is very good. Customersupport people are quick to respond, polite and write very well.Unfortunately my first unit failed shortly after receiving it. Itstopped working in wired mode. Customer support advised me on methodsfor switching modes and for restoring defaults. Once Ifollowed those instructions and still had no luck in restoring wiredmode, a replacement unit was sent and arrived in three days. Again, wonderfully packaged, but without any packing material in the shippingcontainer to buffer the package from movement. But that is on theshipper, not RK.I am a software developer and have no interest in gaming. As such, Ican visualize a design improvement that would give this keyboardbetter functionality for developers, and I note some complaints fromother developers that demonstrate a similar perspective. Here is what I would do:Move the left control key and its fn layer to the position currentlyoccupied by caps lock. Caps lock could be put in an fn layer under TAB.Move the left win and alt keys one position leftward. Put a second fnkey just to the left of the space bar. Dual fn keys are used by both myqisan 40% and the Happy Hacker Lite2 that I used for 20 years beforeswitching to mechanical keys and that configuration would provide moreoptions for accessing fn functionality. A left hand fn key would makethe function keys under "y-u-i-h-j-k-n-m-," a lot easier to use andmake me and other developers happier.
