Adapter works with soda or water bottles
I wanted a filter that works with standard bottle threads so I don't have to be at a water source to drink - I can bottle dirty water and drink it later or filter it into my canteen. The included adapter allows for that. At first I thought it didn't fit, but realized you just have to push the bottle over the cone shaped part of the adapter firmly and the silicone will squeeze into the bottle and make a good seal. Now you can drink directly from the bottle or squeeze it into a clean water container.If using a rigid bottle, stop every so often and turn the bottle upright, then remove the filter to allow air into the bottle and let it re-expand. You won't need to do this with collapsible bottles.The kit also comes with long tubing and a pre-filter so you can drink directly from a water source without having to bend down and submerge the straw.

No hurry -No worry
compact. can use as a straw. gravity feed works well. This is not a fast filter but it got me along my ride. Gravity is best set up. Have some clips so you can set it up & let it do it's thing.

Great to have in a bugout bag
I havent had to use these straws just yet but I’m pretty sure it will do justice filtering out dirty water. Great to have just in case you get stuck somewhere camping, natural disaster, zombie apocalypse, etc.
