I used for a 29in Wheels and it slid in super easy.. easy to move a little back and forth for alignment of the tube stem.

After a broken spoke on my road bike’s rear wheel I needed to replace the rim tape. From my days working at a bike store I remembered rim strips like these and figured I’ll give it a try. This rim strip works out well. It installed in seconds and is easily holding up to the 110psi I use in my 25mm tires (I inspected fit and shape twice after recent flats). It’s great that I can remove it in seconds and reuse it when the next spoke breaks. I didn’t weight the strip before installing but I don’t think there is a significant weight difference to rim tape.Update: on a recent 108 mile ride my tire “blew” at mile 96. Bummer, right? Before replacing the tube, I checked the tire for any remaining sharp objects, none. I didn’t inflate the flat tube to locate the leak and investigate that specific location further. Big mistake. 4 miles later I had a flat tire again, at which point I abandoned my ride. When I investigated later on in my workshop, I found out that the rim tape had shifted a bit, juuuust enough to expose one of the spoke holes, and that was the cause of the two leaks. Now I know that the rim strip needs to be perfectly centered when installing or fixing tubes, but I wish it was just a few millimeters wider to avoid this problem completely.

Easy to install and works as expected, but if for some reason you want to use Presta tubes, you may need to add some extra material around the stem hole since I have had a few flats from abrasion in this area on 2 different brands of tubes.

Fit my rim perfectly (700c x 32), felt strong when putting on will edit this if anything changes.

Always use a good rim band when changing a flat tube . These help prevent unnecessary friction against bare rim and spoke tips. Color really no matter but was offered.Fits perfect around, added corn starch all around for easy slip assembly.

I ordered these for my old mountain bike I was fixing up. The price was right, easy to install(warm in the Sun first).
