Ariens OEM Friction Disc 03248300 02201300 03240700

Not much I can say here. My snowblower's original friction plate was pretty much completely worn, and as a result it wasn't moving like it should on pulling the drive handle. This part was an exact match replacement and restored my snowblower to normal working condition.

This friction disc is a drop-in replacement for the one on my 1990's 5HP ST524 Ariens snow thrower. Replacing the disc was kind of a juggling act until I figured out how to get everything back in place without parts falling off . . . but I figured it out and the snow thrower is ready for winter..The disc I removed was clearly stamped "Ariens" and also had the part number stamped on it. The one I received from the Amazon seller was not in Ariens packaging and it had no markings, so I'm not 100% sure that it is an actual OEM part. Nonetheless, it fit well and seems to be of good quality.

Works just fine

Fit my old Ariens snow thrower 932105-8526 perfectly, BUT what a P.I A. to install this part. You're looking at an all day job, and the shifting mechanism is tough to keep together/put together. Good luck keeping those two washers on the shifter.

This was very difficult to install. Took me several ours over two evenings.

Worked great! Brought my ariens 524 back to life. Will buy again in the future.
