I've bought a house and the humidity is between 60 and 70%. I bought two cheaper dehumidifiers and have had them two weeks. They didn't make a dent on the moisture in the air. This unit was delivered today. It's been running for approx 8 hours and took the humidity from 62% to 46%. I've just emptied the water from the bucket and it's collected more water in those 8 hours than the two cheaper units combined collected in two weeks. This is well worth the price.It's a little noisy but fine for were I keep it in the house.Really simple to use and on wheels. It's not so intuitive how to open the bucket bit. Having to remove the handle to take the lid off was a bit weird but fine once your realise!Had to leave a review because it's absolutely solved my problem with damp in the air.

I have a 400 year old cottage, therefore letting the building breathe is important. But in the winter, it’s difficult especially when you have washing to dry. I bought this dehumidifier purely from the reviews. I have to agree, the best equipment for the job. I can put all the washing in a room, point the vents of this machine and in hours it’s dry.I leave on constant in the day in a very large bedroom. It will fill the dispenser in one day! This room now feels so much warmer/dryer/fresher. If you’re looking for the right tool for the job, I highly recommend this Meaco dehumidifier.

Being on the ground floor tends to get alot of damp . Talk About totally amazed by the amount of water it sucked from the walls and floors. Dry walls warmer rooms , better health, better sleeping. Extremely energy efficient. Also I don't have a dryer ,so when I've done a load of washing, and I hung it up , I turn this wonderful machine on and hey presto my washing gets dryer faster than before.. hang on .. did I forget to mention that it also purefies the air . Yes that's right. Great for those hey fever sufferers, push the button for AP. And clean air . It tells you when it's time to empty the tank. And the timer with the auto shut off works a treat. Easy controls. Not as heavy as it looks . Probably the best purchase I've made in a long time. The hepa filters are a little pricey, but they do work very well. If your thinking that the initial outlay is a bit much , I guarantee you will wonder why you didn't buy one sooner. I wouldn't hesitate in buying another if I had a bigger flat. No more damp , mold , bad smell. Excellent piece of kit.

I have never in my life needed a duhumidifier, let alone thought about one, until I rent a flat with brick walls and no insulation.For the few months ive lived here its been freezing cold. I wake up and i can see my breath, heating on all night but clearly its a common feature instilled in landlords to not give a toss about efficient heating.I was waking up more and more ill, my chest hurt and I could feel the air around me. I went ballistic on patching draughts, sealing windows, recaulked everything but yet it still felt like i was living in the baltics.I have lizards who have humidity temps, and whilst in tanks i notcied it was harder than normal to get them to decent levels consistently. The humidity would rise by the minute. I was honestly going bonkers over it.Cue this little magic device.I sat it in my room and let it do its thing. Over the course of half a day i had emptied (and measured) about 4.2 litres of water.My room feels room temperature, i dont feel like breathing water anymore, and as a bonus this thing uses so little energy compared to others its honestly a no brainer. If the price tag puts you off and youre really looking for something to fix your humidity issues, this is an absolute godsend.Not only has it saved me from further health issues, my bloody room is warm! I can sleep! I genuinely was ecstatic over the amount of water it took out.I cant reccomend this enough.

This is our second purchase of the same dehumidifier. The first was bought over 15 years ago and is still working perfectly. They are still the best on the market and exceptionally cheap to run. It has settings for drying washing and timers for use when it is dealing with a damp room etc. It is quiet when running and only takes a short time to get rid of musty smells.

I bought this to tackle a serious condensation issue in my 130 year old solid walled house. From day one I noticed a change in the overall ‘feel’ of the house and started looking forward to emptying the tank (sad I know). My two boys bedroom windows were condensation free in the mornings, which has happened never! An unexpected benefit was the increase in temperature in the upstairs of my house, as the expelled air is noticeably warm. I put this down to the redistribution of warmer air that normally sits up close to the ceiling and the fact that drier air and building fabric holds heat far more efficiently. I was initially concerned about increased energy bills, but the unit is super efficient and given the increase in temperature overall anyway, it sort of pays for itself. If you are considering a dehumidifier to address condensation issues I would recommend the Meaco 20L for a 4/5 bed house without hesitation.

I’m so glad we purchased this dehumidifier, it’s brilliant, I can’t recommend it highly enough. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. It’s made such a difference to the condensation in our home, we were shocked at how efficient it is. The air feels dryer, it’s quiet, easy to use, & easy to move about. The instruction booklet is easy to understand, the print is a little small but we managed.We stood it in our hallway with the adjoining doors open & we’re amazed at the moisture it produced.
