Delta Faucet U4993-PB Shower Arm and Flange, Polished Brass

The escutcheon does not fit over the pipe even when put on the wall end. It WILL scratch the shower arm when sliding over the pipe. We actually could not get it to slide over and we're afraid to scratch up arm. There are similar Delta shower arms with flanges that may slide over arm. Also, the flange/escutcheon is not as pictured. This one won't go past the threads. It may work for some installations but our connecting pipe's threads are behind the wall so flange won't work.

The brass finish is exceptional and I was very pleased with the shower arm. However, on the initial delivery the flange was missing. An e-mail to Amazon resulted in unbelievable customer service. Not only was I asked to return what I received via free UPS, but Amazon shipped and I received the replacement within 24 hours! Both the shower arm and flange are perfect and beautiful. The old saying is that "you get what you pay for." In this case, I received the best customer service I have experienced in my lifetime. Amazon is rightfully proud of their people.

The brass color is almost gold and matched with the other parts already installed from the previous shower head. Very sturdy and keeps very clean.

I found a rental home of 1,400 sq. ft. for less than I would have paid for an apartment. It is safer for me and my Australian Shepherd plus I can listen to music & movies my way! The home was abandoned and stripped even of some of its plumbing fixtures. The master bath and Jacuzzi is equipped with expensive Delta brand nickel and brass fixtures. Unfortunately, the purchasing investor replaced the shower head and pipe with inexpensive chromed plastic. It was an eye sore not fitting the upgrades of this property. Another motivation to replace the shower head was a missing flange and it was not a hand shower wand I prefer for the occasional dog bath.The shower arm is real brass and heavy. The shower arm kit includes the needed Teflon tape; but, I kept that supplemental purchase for other projects. The most difficult installation task was to remove the chrome arm since it had no tape on it and was over-torqued. That chrome shower arm without flange and plastic chromed shower head now sit in a linen closet. When I leave this rental, the brass shower arm and brass hand shower spay are going with me and my Aussie. He likes the gentle double-fur penetrating spray!!!

Its a little lighter gauge than the 24 year old one I replaced but it works.

Polished brass is getting hard to find and this was a direct replacement for the existing pipe in our shower.

Good quality. Gold color. It works well.
