Liquid Gold that you need to use!!!!!!!!!!
Folks: I have 1,200 sq. ft. of slate, beautiful slate. When I installed I gave my wife a choice regarding the finish. I hosed four panels and said you can have this look or that look which was four plain dried panels. She wanted the wet finish. So I purchased my first gallon of 511 Seal and Enhance. And this stuff is liquid gold as far as the price is concerned. The first application looked good for a week. The second application looked good for several months. The third application looked good a year, maybe two. BUT, floor never had the wet look my wife wanted. So, I bought another gallon, probably my third or fourth. And I learned with the passage of time while the sealer works the 'enhance' disappears into the slate. Each application is less like a sponge and more like I wanted. Finally sent my wife and her mother on two week vacation. My dogs and I refinished the floor yet once again. My wife arrived home, walked in and immediately said, "Looks absolutely great!! Just what you promised!! Thanks for staying after it."There is other stuff out there, but this really does work. Just understand the more porous the stone the more you have to put on. I suspect, do not know for sure, if I have put multiple coats on initially, I would have had the results I wanted up front. BUT the drying time would have increased and two or three days out of the kitchen gets a bit long.It works, you will love it. Am thinking I will try on my granite, but will test first. My granite already looks nice, but maybe this will make it even better.

Great for outdoor travertine
This sealer lives up to its name. I used this on outside, poolside, southern exposed silver travertine in South Florida. One coat gave the travertine a pretty nice shine and water beads up nicely after rain. I was shocked that one gallon covered approx. 1,000 sg ft. I don't see a need to apply a second coat. It does take a couple days to dry completely, remained a little tacky after 24 hours. Not sure why but the newly sealed surface is NOT slippery, very happy that I didn't have to use any type of gripper additive. Very easy to apply, just used a long paint roller brush. Expensive but so worth it!

Easy to apply
Easy to apply. Does a good job sealing and enhancing the colors on travertine marble. I'd give it five stars but I'll wait to see the long term duarbility.

Expensive but worth it!
We have blue stone around our pool and I have a son that LOVES to splash water out of the pool. The contrast between wet and dry blue stone was getting on my OCD nerves. One gallon of 511 later and I can now focus on more worthy things to obsess over! LOL

Applied 2 coats to external slate tiles and I like the results so far
Applied 2 coats to external slate tiles and I like the results so far. It's only been a week at this point. I have never done this myself. I made sure the tiles were very clean and did a little restoration and prep work. I waited at least 24 hrs for the grout to cure. This stuff is expensive but I think if done right, is very much worth it. Prior to buying a gallon I bought a pint and worked on another area of the house to see if I like the stuff.

Lasts 1 year not 20
The stones color fades back to where it was within 1 year, so you may as well save your money with a much cheaper water sealant. The 20 year life they advertise on the bottle is a lie.

Costly but great results.
Third time use of the product on outdoor covered porches with slate tile. We coat every 2-3 years to keep the tile sealed and looking good. This product goes on easily - I generally roll it on and then go back over it with a wiper rag by hand to make sure of even coverage. A little time consuming, on hands and knees, but it looks great and holds up pretty well to water and sun blast. It really does bring out the colors and variegation in the tiles.
