Wholetones 2Sleep (2nd Gen) - Portable Sleep Therapy Music Player with 6 Looping Frequency Enhanced Songs, Timer, Bluetooth, Rechargeable Battery

BLUE lights come on briefly. No sound. No orange lights. Removing and replacing micro SD card does nothing. Since lights go out quickly I can’t even tell whether the unit is on! I can’t tell whether it is in Bluetooth mode. If there is a timer as promised I see none. I really wanted this to help my husband sleep. Only frustration so far. Received on Saturday and customer service available only M-F. Will be returning apparently without hearing a sound. Very disappointed.UPDATE 9/19/2022Customer service returned call this morning. Had me attach headphones to see whether music was playing but not coming through speaker. It was! Said that some units have apparently had an issue in shipping..loose wire perhaps? Promised to replace the unit immediately. Meanwhile I have attached an external speaker to let my husband test it for a few days to see whether his sleep improves. There is a timer but apparently it is automatically set for 30 minutes. Will see whether that can be changed. Lights are blue not orange; instructions have not caught up with changes. I gave it only 3 stars because of initial problem and because we have not had opportunity to evaluate effect on sleep. Will revisit review later.UPDATE 10/01/2022Replacement unit came promptly and functioned as promised. Speaks “power on” when started, has a single 30 minute timer and will play all night if plugged in. Arrangement of buttons makes it easy to do volume up and down, timer, and off. Amazingly it has pretty good sound even though we use it speaker face down in order to be able to easily access the controls. Can also skip ahead or go to previous track. No way have I found to repeat a single track or set just certain ones. We have played it all night since the first one arrived. I bought it to improve my husband’s sleep, but according to his SLEEPON monitor he still gets zero deep sleep. Will keep using for a while and hope it helps his sleep. To be honest, some tracks drive me a little crazy and keep me awake. Very compact. Good idea but could be better.

For years I would lay awake in bed for hours until falling asleep around 3-4am. I've used a white noise maker and it helps some but does not crowd out those myriad of thoughts that come to you as soon as you close your eyes. Therefore I would get only 1 good night's sleep out of 3. Many nights I would sit and read or play solitaire waiting to get tired enough to sleep. I never looked forward to going to bed because I know that I won't get good sleep before morning comes. I finally ditched the noise maker and bought this. It says it takes 21 days to change a habit. For the first week I still read or played solitaire, but as the days went by I noticed that half an hour in and my eyes would get tired. I would put up my book and maybe still lay there awake, but listening to the music instead of the million things that usually go through my head at night, and eventually fall asleep. By 21 days I would look forward to going to bed, not read or play solitaire, and fall asleep quickly.My caveat? This is a music player designed to listen to as you go to sleep. It has 20 sound levels. I usually have it at the lowest setting or one up from there. I cannot imagine listening to this at it's default setting or any louder. It would be good to scew the range more to the low end. Secondly, each track plays at a different level. If you set the volume so the the loudest track is at a comfortable volume then the softer tracks are almost inaudible. If you set the volume so that the softer tracks are nicely audible, the when a louder track comes on it jars you out of your comfey zone. Finding a middle ground is essential. Still, it has been invaluable and worth all 5 stars. Cheers.

The idea of this product is terrific, to provide both a bluetooth speaker and also soothing wholetone sounds for sleep plus it offers a shut off timer. First I ordered it in Sept of 2020. It lasted until Dec. 2020 upon which time Amazon replaced it for me. I figured I got a lemon and the new one would be ok. However it stopped working in June 2021 so it is sensitive somehow. Anyways, communications with the manufacturer had me pop out and reinsert the SD card and for now it seems to work OK. The sounds really are relaxing.

This was delivered and did what it said it would do with no problems. It just would not go low enough-the sounds were very soothing, but just too loud for me. I tried covering it with a pillow, but that may not always be available. I want something I can barely hear, that removes my brain from the loop. Also, it seems kinda dumb to have a 'sound on' 'sound off' robot voice when you turn on/off when you have a partner who might be disturbed by that verbal notification. Returned after 2 nights.

Product arrived promptly and I was excited to try it out. Product did not play music as describe and the instructions provided are minimal. I contacted Wholetones support who promptly replied and indicated that sometimes the SD card shifts during shipping and to gentle remove the SD card and reinsert it. Wholetones support also provided further instructions on the operation of the buttons for use. After reinserting the SD card and knowing how the buttons worked, the 2Sleep Gen2 worked GREAT and as described. Better instructions that are printed in a font that is readable would be a good improvement.

Sorry, I can't give this a perfect review. I really like the Wholetones CD and play it often. This little device had a "power on" and "power off" announcement that was too loud to have in a bedroom with another person sleeping nearby. I returned it. Otherwise, the music was great!

I honestly didn't use this product because I didn't want to disturb my husband and couldn't figure out how to listen to it without doing that.. To use earphone was not an option because I toss and turn all night. I think it's a really cool idea and I'm not a good sleeper so I was anxious to try it. Unfortunately, my husband did not want to hear it. I really didn't know how to rate it so went "middle of the road" with a 3

I've only had this for a couple of weeks but so far I really like it. I already have a fan in my bedroom for white noise so I set the wholetones device on a low volume just enough to let me hear a little so that it distracts my mind from thinking too much about other things.
