I purchased to support an old iPhone 4S I use for travel. Once the unit is fully charged it works great and keeps the phone operating for an extended period of time. I have not yet had a chance to test it "in the field," but, at home, I see the phone staying alive far longer before needing a charge. It is also helpful that you can use a micro-USB cable to charge both units and to connect the iPhone to a computer. Be advised, it does make the phone a bit chunky and heavier, but that is the price you pay for longer battery life.

My wife's iPhone would run out of battery at the most incovenient times. I gave the PowerBear as a gift to her - She liked it, but we had some problems charging. It would only charge on the low current "kindle-type" 5V adapter. When a high current (original samsung) adapter & cable were used, the PowerBear would not charge. It may be that the shutoff circuit is protecting the batteries - further testing is needed. We manage to charge both the iPhone and PowerBear using a low current adapter overnight - I liked that this way we did not have to take the phone out of the case, and also that the case converted the apple adapter to the more common micro usb connector. I am giving 4 stars because she has not used it for a normal work day, so performance is still unknown, and we don't know if slow charging will be an issue. If my wife still likes it at the end of the week, then it is a winner, and I will upgrade to 5 stars.

After a month my power bear will not charge at all. I have tried several times with different cables and outlets with no success I'am very unhappy and now wish I hadn't bought it at all.I have tried to contact the seller with no response.Don't waste your money

Worked well with regard to charging, but there is no protective lip to save the screen if it falls face down. Basically negates the point of having a protective case but if you are looking for charge case only it will get the job done.

I really liked this for my iphone 4, at first. It's a nice case and it worked great the first day or two, but then when I plugged it in to charge, the powerbear and my phone became very hot! What is up with this? It scares me that its going to ruin my phone. Bummer! I can still charge them up seperately and they work together, but what an inconvienance.

My daughter purchased this for my older iPhone that has a weaker battery. I liked it at first, but it gets too warm while I am using my phone, which is concerning.

Great product and fast delivery. I love that it extends my battery life. It does not however come with the cable to charge the case, so you will need a micro USB cable.

it does charge your phone recharge easy but everything else forget it.. It does not protect your phone the cover constantly falls off now to the point I only have half of it. There's no lip on it so ur glass will break. They do supply a cover but a cheap one one that the store actually had to put on With that said theres still bubbles meaning it will fall off. To me It was a waist of money
