Casio Men's G-Shock Watch DW5600EG-9

I got this in the mail today from Amazon. I love how the watch looks and feels on your Wrist. This is basic gshock. The same as the dw560e -1v gshock. I love the retro look to the watch. I have over 40 gshock watches and 7 Protrek watches This the 3rd gshock I bought from NY.FASHION. Thanks Amazon and the seller. Great quality. Enjoy the watch or any other gshock watch you buy. I have been wearing gshocks for 34 year's since the first gshock came out in 1983.Take it from a gshock collector this is a great watch.

I got my first G-Shock as a gift in 1980 when I was still in high school. It was a bit of a novelty at the time. Took it to Africa and back, twice. Banged it against tables and walls when people asked, "Is that thing really as tough as they say?". I went through 3 straps, but 20 years later (that's not a typo) when the casing around the watch itself finally cracked off, it was STILL RUNNING ON THE SAME BATTERY. No kidding. I've still got it in a box somewhere. The battery is dead now, but the legend of this incredibly durable, useful watch was by then well made. Recently, a terrific aluminum Swatch I was using deteriorated, and i needed another capable work piece. I was thrilled that Casio was still making these, even if they're no longer made in Japan. I'm so happy with this one. If you're looking for a watch that can really take a beating and just grin at you, this is the one. Enjoy.

Man, Did I ever go down the toilet on this one. Sometimes in life you've gotta cut your losses and run away crying...like with this two-bit joke. No wonder it was shipped to me virtually overnight, West Coast to east coast. This company charged me a stratospheric price and then quickly washed their hands clean of it. There is no such "golden display." Only a bland, boring dime-store optical.

Got this old school watch because I had one when I was a young fella. Back in the day it was the one to have. Not much to it really, the yellowish display, gold buttons and buckle make it stand out from other newer DW5600 series. It's a pretty basic, stop watch, timer, and alarms. No world time mode. So if your looking for and old school model and are not really into bells and whistles this might be for you. As for me I liked it back then and still like it now. Might bring back some memories for you too!

This is a great watch I know I can depend on. I've had a few DW5600E's that came out in 1996 that used the old module 1545 with a full auto calendar with preset years from 1996 to 2039. My new DW5600EG-9 has a gold colour on the face background and side buttons. This watch has the same functions as the DW5600E, but lately in 2011 Casio have made a new module 3229 with a longer celendar with preset years from 2000 to 2099.I like that this watch has the button for the backlight on side rather than the front, because when its on the front the backlight button can be pushed by mistake shortening the battery life.Casio have kept this classic style of G-SHOCK alive for more than 20 years, so I know I can trust it.

I like these 5600 series watches. The layout of the screen is perfect, the size of the watch itself is just right. I get more compliments on this watch than I do on on my more expensive swiss watches. I don't even wear my status symbol watches anymore.This watch is perfect for me and a big "F you" to the watch snobs. Oh, you got a fancy expensive watch? Congratulations! I have a s*%t load of money in the bank!

This is the fourth G-Shock in my collection (have teal and white G-Lide's, Databank 150) and is my everyday watch. The color in the photo makes it seem as if the screen is tinted yellow and the type matches but the actual watch is much more muted unfortunately. Regardless, the watch works well like my others and looks good.+1 for the gold buckle!

I've worn this watch virtually every day since August, 2012...almost 3 1/2 years. Problem free and on the original battery. The watchband looks brand new, and I have never had a Casio watchband hold up for this long. The watchband has always been the weak link in Casio products. Highly recommended.
