Daikin 1.5 Ton 5 Star Inverter Split AC (Copper, Anti Microbial Filter, 2020 Model,FTKF50TV, White)

Daikin FTKF50TV16U (1.5 ton inverter AC) was not available to the local dealers and they couldn’t confirm about future availability also. Although purchasing the AC from online was not my first choice, I purchased it from Amazon on 27th April, 2019 at night after visiting multiple local dealers. The product got delivered to my door step on 29th April, 2019 in the morning and Indoor/outdoor units were manufactured on Mar/Feb, 2019. Amazon had already placed installation request to Daikin even before product got delivered. Daikin outsources installation to local agencies and installation engineer came for installation on 1 May, 2019 with my preferred date and time. Since box pack of AC only contains Indoor unit, Outdoor unit, Cropper wire, remote control, battery and user manual I had to purchase L buckets, outlet water pipe, wrapping tape to wrap up cropper wire, rubber pads to install outdoor unit with L buckets properly, electric wire from outdoor to indoor unit and clumps for trapping all the external accessories properly. I had to pay for vacuumed pump to remove air. Installation agency said installation was free for inverter AC but I have to pay for above accessories Rs. 2325/-. Installation went smooth and they demonstrated about functionalities available with remote control by starting the AC. It was nice experience for me from purchasing to installation.About the product: Simply awesome product this is. I went through multiple reviews and surveys before I purchased the product. Hence I was very strict to purchase the model of Daikin. Many local dealers tried to convince and offered me many alternatives like other models from Daikin or even other brands. But I went for Daikin FTKF50TV16U model only and I am really very happy after using the product. Outdoor unit is very silent compare to others but size is little bit larger than others. AC performance is awesome with cooling, continuing same temperature etc. and has many good other features. Only one drawback it has no display for temperature in the body of indoor unit (it should come in this category) and light goes off inside remote control hence difficult to see the temperature level at night.I am absolutely pleased with the excellent product from Daikin.

Excellent product launched by Daikin. Energy efficiency and noise level is as per quality as expected. The only thing is that Extra amount of rs 230/- has been charged for tapping to copper wire by Daikin service centre person even though installation is totally free until 30th April. I called to their customer care and raised the concern. They said we charge on tapping if we cover full copper wire with tap else not. That sounds to me something weird since it should be covered in installation part since nothing has been mentioned about the same over Amazon website.Otherwise, installation was done properly and product quality is superb as of now.

My main greviance about this product is the time, manner of installation and the hassle involved in the installation of the product, where I had to run from pillar to post from contacting the brand executive on the toll free Number and the installation agency. After taking quite a lot of trouble, I got the AC installed. This is a second Daikin 5 star inverter AC I have bought. The first inverter 5 star inverter AC was bought through a leading “Brick and mortar” dealer in CHENNAI, and the installation and demonstration went on smoothly and quickly. The AC FTKP50TV, I have bought through AMAZON from Cloud tail is of premium quality and with many unique features like Coanda mode, quick chilling.It is very energy efficient. I am happy with the product in all respects, which has prompted my this repeat purchase of the 5star Daikin 5 star AC.

I got it installed finally after getting harassed by daikin installation team and scammed by amazon. Sounds great right?I only turned it once after installation and the first impression of it is really good. Cooling seems extraordinary with little to no noise.Installation process was horrifying and probably the worst of any electronic item i have ever owned. And amazon also scammed me of one of the promotions(echo flex) on ac so thats a cherry on top.First installation team visit : a guy came, inspected everything then took around 30 mins to give an estimate of Rs. 13,000 which is about 30% of acs value which sounds ridiculous on its own. So, to sum up the first visit, guy came with intention to rip me off the amount and I obviously rejected this installation attempt.Second team visit : another guy gave an estimate of around Rs. 6,000 which is half the amount what first guy said. You can tell that whoever daikin has given installation contract to are a bunch of low live thieves who lives on this scam.Also, Daikin has this crazy term that screws over customer. You can't have third party guy to do the installation coz that voids warranty. So, you are stuck with either having to pay 13k or pray that you get a decent team who is not trying to scam you for some extra buck.Daikin may make a good quality product but the installation experience has been horrible for me.I was so close to returning it back to amazon. I really hope daikin improves on and regulates everything coz for now i cant even think of getting another daikin or even recommend it to anyone else.To anyone reading this and have bought this ac, make sure you have installation team give you a quote on paper before giving them a go ahead coz they will most likely try to rip you off.
