good looking, doesn't perform well
This flash looks great but without a setting to adjust the flash strength, it's pretty useless. It's either too bright or too dim for most situations. Quite dissapointing.

Encore un accessoire pour compléter un petit appareil qui est un bijou cher qui n'attire que les nostalgiques. Un petit compact bien ordinaire vous donne tout pour peu d'argent. Je suis un nostalgique qui a aussi un Finepix X100 pour lui rappeler son Leica G !

Endlich komplett
Zusammen mit dem Blitz ist meine Minox DCC 5.0 endlich komplett. Optisch sieht das Arangement natürlich sehr Klasse aus.Überrascht war ich von der technischen Qualität des Blitzes. Selbstverständlich wurde die Kamera zusammen mit dem Blitz ausprobiert. Die Bildqualität war sehr gut. Klar, man kann von diesem Mini- Blitz keine Leitzahl jenseits von 10 erwarten, dafür ist aber wohl auch nicht gedacht. Auf kürzere Distanz eine gute Ausleuchtung, die die Minox auch für Aufnahmen in Räumen tauglich macht.

A DIM FLASH IN THE DARK
This optional flashgun, which I bought as an accessory for my Minox DCC 5.1 - see separate review - only fires in extremely dim light. So dim, in fact, that I thought it was not working at all, until I drew the curtains and noted that it did go off after all. The effect of this is failed shots, which would have come out well if the flashgun had fired as expected. It is not very powerful and has a very low range.However it does look good when attached to the camera, and the whole setup looks like a miniature version of a 1950s pressman's kit.Quite impressive as bling but don't rely on it for important shots.
